  2. Any damage/wear to the wires? Try disconnecting the MAF for a short period. You will get a MAF fault but do the misfires still happen?

CDR-23 (or later):These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters.These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car’s DMEand can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected.
  4. You can purchase those from your dealer/OPC. Duplicating copyrighted material is not allowed on this website.   5. The difference between a trickle charger and a battery maintainer is that a trickle charger constantly applies a charge, whether the battery is fully charged or not. A battery maintainer, on the other hand, has circuitry that monitors the battery and charges only when the voltage has dropped below a preset level, thus preventing overcharging and damage. When the battery maintainer, senses the voltage has dropped, a battery tender will resume charging. Because of this a battery maintainer can be left connected indefinitely. A trickle charger should be disconnected and reconnected occasionally, probably used for charging once or twice a month for a day. I do not recommend using trickle chargers since people tend to forget and leave them connected.

  7. Sorry, that does not exist. Porsche stopped printing paper manuals in 2006. All technical information is now only available via PIWIS. A PIWIS lease runs about $18,000 per year (not a typo it is $18,000 per year). AlldataDIY.com may have some 3rd party information though.

"Can you give me a code for my PCM?These units are manufactured jointly by Siemens and Becker, and the only place where you can get the codes required is from the dealer/OPC. The PCM’s require two codes, the ICS/Siemens code, and a Becker code. The ICS is the first code requested.Sorry, the only place you can get a PCM code is from a dealer/OPC."

  10. As stated above you may want to be sure you have the tools and equipment to do this job. Not an easy DIY. "This task can only be performed in the Cayenne S (M48/00) if the engine has been removed or suspended on the body."
  11. In my experience, Koni tends to be a bit firmer shock/strut. So, I think that would depend on your ride choice - handling vs. comfort.
  12. I personally would not use anything but Bilstein or Koni on a Porsche. Unfortunately, unless you can get a discount a complete set will run you about $700 to $1000 in the US. Installation in the front will require a coil spring compressor (which can be rented) but is not difficult. The rears are even easier and do not require a coil spring compressor. I would stick with quality suspension parts both for safety and for any potential resale of the car. Just my 2 cents...
  13. Have you checked for an exhaust leak between the engine and O2 sensor behind the cat?
