  1. Yup, all MY99 C4's (not C2's) had egas as well as all cars through current. So only MY99 C2's (and European GT3 mk1's) did not have egas. Hehe... no egas for me :D
  2. Interesting... I had heard earlier that they were plug and play. I'll keep checking...
  3. TSB is Technical Support Bulletin. Porsche issues these for install procedures, problem fixes, and other general information. Currently there are about 190 TSBs for the Carrera model, about 200 for Boxsters, about 95 for TT/GT2, about 6 for the new GT3, and about 36 for Cayenne.
  4. 000 044 200 19 Sport Exhaust Kit --------------------------------------- 996 613 987 10 A05 Black mat switch (for left side of dash) 996 613 988 10 A05 Black mat switch (for right side of dash) 996 612 978 00 Wiring harness for switch (to convert older non-manual PSE systems)
  5. If you want the low beams to rotate up with the high beams (normal operation for Litronics) then you will need to install the Litronic headlight kit (000 044 900 41) and the wiring harness (PNA 721 040 06). To install the wiring harness you will need to have a pin removal tool or splice into existing wires. It took me about 1 hour. I have the TSB if you need it (it is overkill -- IMHO).
  6. I recall a conversation I had with Gert and I think the 02 and newer upgrade lights have everything you need. It's just plug and play. Of course self-leveling is still only available from the factory.
  7. Buy the kit from a Gert or a dealer. Jeff and or I will help you install them (and then we will know and document the details.).
  8. That part is shown on both US and RoW parts lists so it should be available everywhere. Any dealer can order parts from Europe - delivery can take 3 days to 6 weeks.
  9. I've heard of a number of broken welds in mufflers but not the cats. Not to say the cats can't have a broken weld too...
  10. Ok... A DIY is now posted in the Carrera DIY section (same process for Boxsters)
  11. You need two pieces. Item 10 -- Retaining frame (955 701 105 00) with four screws (item 11) 907 981 01 (M6 x 20). and then you need item 23 Support (955 701 105 00).
  12. Its not too hard... maybe 30 minutes with the right tools.
  13. MY02 Boxster S, Tip, Computer 986 641 234 00 EOD Black / Silver
  14. I was told by a dealer employee that the silver handles are no longer available -- and that they are only available in black (I do not know if that is true or not). Once you have the parts please post here what you got. Also, once you have the parts email me and I'll email you the instructions.
  15. No TSBs yet... Porsche may have to wait for more customer complaints. ;) Most of the problems with the earlier cabs was solved with teflon tape and Gummi-Pflege.
  16. Every 6 months should be ok.
  17. We have added a new section to the site: RennTech.org -- Special Offers. In this section vendors and suppliers will offer special discounts to RennTech.org members. (You must be a member to get these special prices). The first offer is now posted for the popular 9X6 Werks DIY / Upgrades DVDs. Check it out here
  18. Pretty much. About a 5 minute job, removing and replacing the switches is the most difficult part. Tom Morris wrote really good DIY on this... but his site seems to be down right now. Here are part numbers you will need: 996 552 096 01 D05 Console Shelf (about $41)* 996 552 596 00 Rubber Pad for Tray (about $5) * Note that the D05 designates Granite Grey interior so your color code may be different.
  19. Pop out 2-4 of the cd holder trays and then grab them and pull. The new storage bin just snaps in also. About a 30 second job :D
  20. Welcome I hope you enjoy the site! Don't forget to add your car and mods to the RennTech.org -- Garage
  21. The Boxster method is here. In theory you can do what I suggested to racer08 on Rennlist. That would be to run the SDV control to radio to override the DSP control. If all else fails you can always remove the DSP -- most folks think it adds very little anyway.
  22. Pulling the headlight switch out one notch turns on the front fog lights and pulling it out two notches also turns on the single rear foglight.
  23. Here is the Porsche part number for the CDC-4 Kit for MY03 and newer (MOST bus) Carrera and Boxster: 000 044 900 72 As Jeff said, once its installed your dealer will have to activate it with his PST2.
  24. These instructions are now available as a TSB. Let me know if you want a copy.
  25. About an hour the first time...
