  1. I think you are talking about the only mount at the rear of the transmission. There is no single part listing in my parts list either. It looks to to be pressed in at the least.
  2. Where can I order the cable and the software? www.obd-2.com
  3. Have a look at TSB 6/98 5737 Inner Door Release Inoperative (dated 12-17-98). Sure sounds like your bowden cable is either broken or disconnected.
  4. Loren, I saw the review but did not see the tool itself. Do you have a model number and/or purchase place? This one is not a tool per se - it is software and a cable. You load the software into a laptop computer and then plug the cable into both the laptop and the OBD II port on the car.
  5. Have a look at TSB 3/00 7059 Noises In The Door/Door Trim Panel Area (dated 6-30-00). I think "Complaint 2" on page 4 is what you want.
  6. Actually if it is in the differential -- some parts are available for the differential (bevel gears, pinions). I would not expect more that them splitting the labor with you. If you are lucky they might cover all the labor. MSRP for the transmission is $9511.30.
  7. The one I use with my laptop is reviewed here.
  8. Interesting enough the bumpers themselves are the same part number but the spoiler lips are different part numbers. I'll have to look closer at them side by side sometime. Perhaps the TT spoiler is a little longer? The u-clips can be reused if you don't bend them taking them off.
  9. A GT3 engine is based on the TT engine not the Carrera M96 engine. They are very different. The manifolds on the GT3 have 3 bolts per cylinder and the Carrera's have 2. I have never tried the GT3 mufflers or cats on a Carrera but I doubt they would line up right since the manifolds and engine position are slightly different. My advice is forget about GT3 exhaust parts and concentrate on the sound/performance you want from a Carrera exhaust.
  10. Stan, You have checked everything except the horns (and the connection at the horns). It is a simple circuit - each horn has a ground wire (brown) and the share the power wire - that is, the relay actuates both at the same time. So, if you measure the voltage at the black/yellow wire coming off the relay panel you can be assured that power is going to the horns. At that point you have no other choice than to remove the front bumper and check the horns. Removing the front bumper is really only a 15 minute job. When you put the bumper back on just remember to not tighten the screws fully until it is aligned with the hood and fenders (sides).
  11. Yes, that is the Aerokit II front bumper for MY02 and newer cars with the newer headlight and fender design. The two bumpers are not interchangeable. If your car is pre MY02 then you need the first number (996 505 980 03 G2X).
  12. 996 505 980 03 G2X GT3 (mk1) bumper in primer coat
  13. If you are not familiar with the engine and it's air intake, vacuum lines, and crankcase ventilation then you should likely take it to someone that is. This could be something as simple as a bad seal or loose oil filler cap or more complicated like an oil separator. Someone familiar with what to look for should be able to find the problem and cure it.
  14. Do you have a phone? Do you have an amp? If so which one? These options are all set with a PST2 (or PIWIS). Sounds like it needs to be set with a PST2.
  15. Push the buttons to release all the CD trays. Grab them all and pull. That's it!
  16. Normal idle speed on a 3.4 liter car is 700 RPM. I don't think idle is your problem - the CEL and smoke is. P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 2 (Cylinders 1 . 3) - Rich Threshold P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 2 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Rich Threshold These mean that the fuel/air mixture is so lean that sensing has reached its rich threshold. That is, you have an air leak that the DME can not add enough gas to meet proper mixture (and emissions). Probable causes are (from the OBD II manual): - Intake air system leaking. - Fuel pressure too low. - Volume supply of fuel pump too low. - Fuel injectors fouled. Since you had (or still have smoke) then the oil separator is a potential air(/oil) leak. Even a bad oil filler cap or hose can cause this too. You need to find the source of the air leak.
  17. I just sent it to you via email...
  18. Yeah, those that are listed in the Cayenne Quality-improvement Workshop Campaign were only sent to dealers. If I can get a hold them I will post them. They will all have a VIN list with them since not all Cayenne's were affected.
  19. If your air bag light is on then the only way to turn it off is with a PST2 or PIWIS tester - at an OPC or shop. If you take it to an OPC then they can check your PCM1 serial number against the code you are entering and get you the right one if it is not correct.
  20. They should both work fine - the boot usually stays with the shift lever.
