  1. You need to have someone check for alarm faults with a PST2 (or PIWIS) or Durametric Software. I think there is a fault code somewhere there...
  2. P0410 Secondary Air Injection System - Signal Implausible (Cylinders 1 - 3) P1411 Secondary Air Injection System - Signal Implausible (Cylinders 4 - 6) Potential causes: Secondary air injection pump is not triggered. - Wiring harness or fuse Secondary air injection pump does not work. - Relay Air supply lines restricted. - DME control module Electric change-over valve does not work. - Air supply lines Air change-over valve does not work. - Secondary air injection pump Vacuum system leaks. - Electric change-over valve - Air change-over valve Did you or someone disconnect the secondary air pump? I would start by checking for the noise when you start the car cold - the secondary air pump should run at least 30 sec (or more). Sounds like a small vacuum cleaner to me. If you don't hear the noise then check the electrical connections and fuse (40A fuse on the relay board next to the DME), and the relay (position 10 on the same board).
  3. Model year please? Did you replace your 3rd brake light with an aftermarket clear LED panel?
  4. The Durametric mateched the PST2 in my tests. Was this the problem you had before replacing the throttle body? Did you do it or did a shop use the old throttle sensor on the new throttle body?
  5. Which parts exactly - reassembly is just a reverse of the disassembly. Ducts go on first then the front bumper cover etc., etc.
  6. Well, I would check your steering pump fluid first. If that is okay then try jacking the front of the car up and rotating the wheel(s) while listening for noises. You can also check the lateral free play to see if the wheel has any.

  8. Check for a P0102 fault. P0102 is the same error you will get if the MAF is unplugged. This can also cause ABS and TC/PSM lights to come on as the DME is not sensing the TC/PSM data and combining it with the throttle position and mass air flow readings. If you are in the US then Autozone (and some other parts stores) will read your codes for free.
  9. If the wire is all brown then that is a ground wire. The radio alarm wire is brown with a blue stripe.

  11. You need the PST2 to check for fault codes and to verify that the throttle is reading 80% at full throttle. The Durametric software can give you those same readings.

  13. P1502 Throttle Jacking Unit, Spring Test – Above Limit The position of the throttle is controlled by a digital position controller which emits a pulse-width-modulated (PWM) duty cycle and a direction bit. After the output stage has been deactivated, the throttle is brought into emergency air position by means of two springs. This return of the throttle must take place within a certain time. If this time is exceeded, a fault is stored in the memory. P1502 Throttle return time too long. – Throttle part Diagnosis Procedure 1. Replace throttle part. 2. Erase the fault memory. 3. Perform adaptation. End Perform adaptation. (you will need a PST2 or PIWIS for this) 1. Switch on the ignition. 2. Wait one minute. Do not press the accelerator. 3. Switch off the ignition for at least 10 seconds. 4. Read out the fault memory.
  14. I am not sure about RoW nav systems. Have a look at TSB 11/03 9110 PCM2 and BOSE Amplifier Spare Parts Requirements. That TSB is for US/Canada cars so RoW maybe slightly different (software). I think you will have to upgrade the PCM2, the BOSE amplifier and software.
  15. 996.541.901.08 windshield (tinted, with standard radio antenna) 996.541.901.09 windshield (tinted, upper part dark green, with standard radio antenna)
  16. Yes, reset your codes and see if they come back.
  17. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00...p;link_code=as1 $22.63 at Amazon and RennTech.org gets small percentage ;) ;)
  18. Where is it located on the 996/997??Air cooled TT (ala 993) -- 996TT/GT2 use two smaller coolers that sit behind the air ducts on the sides of the 996TT/GT2.
  19. Looks like a TT intercooler to me...
  20. Yes, that is what Porsche recommends. Then you might still have a small amount of air trapped on the inside caliper piston side.
  21. M265 -- AUTOMATIC ANTI-DAZZLE INTERIOR MIRROR WITH RAIN SENSOR M440 -- MANUAL ANTENNA, 4 LOUDSPEAKERS --> MJ 2002 MJ 2003 --> ANTENNA DIVERSITY Check your sticker under the front trunck lid. It makes a difference in the part number.
  22. Do you have options M440 and/or M265?
  23. Model Year 2003. Have a look at the Glossary of Technical Terms here. Please have a look at the drop down menu labelled "Online Docs Menu" for even more info...
  24. There is a MY03 Owners Manual here. It should be very close.
