  1. It does not look like Porsche sells this as a separate part so your best bet would be a auto salvage yard.
  2. #9 is the part number that you mentioned.
  3. It is always helpful if you tell us the exact model and year of your car. And what the problem is.
  4. These are not a Porsche part so without documentation I doubt we can help you. Try going back to the vendor.
  5. Since I can not see what it is clamping (or supposed to be clamping) - here is where the part number you specified goes.
  6. Covers all Carrera (996), GT3, TT / GT2 and Boxster (986) cars Here is the long explanation from the service manual on the flashing coolant light. "Four functions of the coolant warning light: 1. Engine coolant level too low -- light flashes slowly (0.5 Hz) 2. Engine compartment temperature too high -- light flashes slowly (0.5 Hz) (engine compartment blower might be faulty) 3. Engine coolant temperature too high -- light is lit; pointer on the right 4. Temperature sensor at water outlet faulty -- light flashes rapidly (1 Hz) ; pointer on the right Note: The temperature warning in point three is indicated if the conditions "engine coolant temperature too high" and "engine coolant level too low" are present simultaneously."
  7. Copyrighted material: By registering here you agree not to post (or link to) any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or by this site. Repeat offenders will be banned from this site and their accounts, as well as the offending material, will be deleted. Several years ago Porsche's lawyers sent me a "take-down notice" to remove all copyrighted Porsche material from the website or face litigation. I had no choice but to comply with their demands.
  8. From the Lost Radio Code FAQ... "I get a WAIT on the display - what do I do? You have to wait at least 30 minutes before trying again." Try this code 5468
  9. Try 1309 Don't forget to hook up the wire (to the radio chassis) for the alarm system.
  10. There is a special bleeding procedure in PIWIS (not sure about Durametric) that bleeds the ABS pump by running the pump and opening and closing the valves.
  11. Yes. If you are getting a dash light then the car needs to be checked for suspension faults using a Porsche specific diagnostic tool like PIWIS or Durametric.
  12. Does the air suspension operate normally now - to raise and lower on demand? If not then use a Porsche specific diagnostic tool (i.e. PIWIS or Durametric) to check for fault codes.
  13. 434 Work instructions for cars overseas (924 and 944) Not a 996 option code to my knowledge.
  14. The standard radio does not have an external amp = the BOSE does.
  15. You have posted the same thing four times now. Please wait for someone to reply to your first post. Also, please re-read the site Guidelines that you agreed to when you registered here. "Please post your messages in one forum only. Crossposting, double posting, triple posting, etc. are all a waste of time and valuable resources. If you post the same message in multiple times or in multiple forums, we will delete the ones we feel are inappropriate."
  16. A DME 7.2 and DME 7.8 are not interchangeable. The 7.8 goes with a number of engine changes such ar Variocam, returnless fuel supply, etc.
