  1. The classification listed out in your manual is GL5 or MIL-L2105B. If the fluid is 75W90 and meets or exceeds the API classification you will be fine.
  2. The brake indicator is just a wire that can wear through or have a bad connection. You should likely have a look at them and replace them when you replace the pads.
  3. Individual manual sections are available from Porsche (via download PDF) for $110 each. A yearly subscription to all manuals is $5,200/year (last time I checked). So if you wanted just the 2001 TT schematics - it would be $110. You can purchase them here.
  4. Here is what changed in MY01. I think you are in for some rewiring since every Porsche has a custom wire harness. Pages_from_2001_911carrera.pdf
  5. A problem with the main switch usually causes all kinds of weird light problems
  6. Many independent Porsche shops have them - but I would call first.
  7. You need to find a dealer or shop with a PST2 or PIWIS tester to transfer the program (mileage, etc.) from your old cluster to your new cluster.
  8. I think you need: 993.645.453.00 connecting cable 996.645.231.00 support bracket (C4/TT)
  9. I suggest you replace the bad ones before they break - if they break they can take the alternator and do other damage.
  10. I can't remember where I got these pics so my apologies to the owner...
  11. They may be Loctite'd. I've removed a couple on 996's that were way beyond the 15 ft/lbs they are supposed to be torqued to. Make sure you have a good (not worn) hex head tool for removal.
  12. Fault code 1772 Pressure sensor signal wire Possible cause of fault - Short circuit to B+ in the wiring of pin 84 of the level control module - Short circuit to ground in the wiring of pin 84 of the level control module - Open circuit in the wiring of pin 84 of the level control module - Level control module receives implausible signal from pressure sensor - Pressure sensor faulty - Level control module faulty
  13. Hmm... in some cases the Euro OBD II specs are tighter than the US and they use different cats.
  14. Have you done a search? Most of this is the same as the 996...
  15. How many miles? Have you tried cleaning the throttle body with carburetor/fuel injector cleaner?
  16. Yes, pull down towards the inside of the car. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...post&p=6609
  17. This piece? If so, this is the C pillar item 3 in the diagram above.
  18. Is this a coupe? If so, that is all the rear linings.
