  1. Very early 3.4 mufflers. Yes, you can donate for someone else. Just send me a PM with his/her user name after you donate.
  2. Get me the part number off of one of the mufflers and I will tell you for sure.
  3. Model and year of your car please....
  4. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?a...amp;code=sunset
  5. Not affected. They don't have to drain anything to change a clutch.
  6. A new belt for a MY99 is about $144 retail. Check the folks at Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for a much better price.
  7. No, completely different engine.
  8. We think 236 is 18" tires. Cxx is usually a country code (for emissions, etc.). What country are you in?
  9. Model and model year of your car please?
  10. ... and any filter that allows "more air in" is likely letting in more particulate matter than can also damage the MAF. I think it is curious that the manufacturer says these filters have a MSRP of $127 and the guy on eBay is selling them for $12.
  11. A leaking oil pan is pretty unusual - unless it has been hit and cracked. I would clean all the oil off - drive few miles and then look again to see where it is coming from.
  12. Go back to the stock intake and see if the problem goes away.
  13. If you log out and log back in you should see your membership is upgraded. As a Contributing Member you can now view TSBs online, use the Retail Price Search feature, as well as viewing and posting in the Contributors Only Forum. You can now send attachments with PMs (Personal Messages) and your image storage limits are raised. RennTech.org email addresses are available - if you would like one please PM me. And, you can now have your own personal RennTech.org Blog. Thank you again for your donation!
  14. The link is posted at the top of every forum and is labeled Announcement: How to become a Contributing Member. I guess some folks just pan over the announcements...
  15. Ignorant question, how do I see the actual TSB? I would like to review TSB 1701 (996 recommended oils), but I cannot find the actual TSB anywhere. I can find the TSB listed, but there are no links to take me to it. Help! =) Only Contributing Members can view TSBs. To see the many benefits of becoming a Contributing Member have a look here.
  16. We have added and/or updated TSBs in the following categories (14 total): Boxster (987) - 4 Carrera (997) - 2 997 TT - 1 997 GT2 - 1 997 GT3 - 1 Cayenne - 1 Cayenne (Gen 2 as of MY08) - 1 Cayman (987) - 2 Literature - 1
  17. The radiators on the 996 have never changed. Early (or late) 996's have never had any cooling problems. The C4S has larger radiators (they are 996 TT radiators) but that is because of C4S/TT bumper design.
  18. Sorry, but if you do not know how to trace down electrical shorts then you should find a shop that does.
  19. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=23826
  20. A3 is the right front side marker light Looks for shorts there.
  21. That should work but realize the visor only has power when it is forward in it's locked position.
  22. A3 is the right front side marker light (7.5 A).
  23. If you missed these in the 70's (or weren't born yet ;) ) - here is your chance to add a piece of history to your car. Porsche is offering once again customized (by model) body side decals. They are available (in various colors) for: 987 Boxster 987 Boxster S 997 Carrera 997 Carrera S 997 Carrera 4S 997 Targa 4 997 Targa 4S 997 Turbo 997 GT2 997 GT3 997 GT3 RS Gen 1 & Gen 2 Cayenne Gen 1 & Gen 2 Cayenne S Gen 1 & Gen 2 Cayenne Turbo Gen 1 & Gen 2 Cayenne Turbo S 987 Cayman 987 Cayman S Porsche Retail Price is $292.82 (per set) -- but I'm sure the folks at Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) can do much better than that. Instructions for installation as well as part numbers are in the TSB section for our Contributing Members.
