  1. Those are considered "Winter Wheels" for a 996TT. Porsche uses smaller wheels for recommended winter wheels 18 x 10 ET 47 mm - so you can fit chains if needed. 996TT summer rear wheels would be 18 x 11 ET 63/65 mm.

  3. No. Any immobilizer change requires reprogramming using a PST2 or PIWIS and your car's unique IPAS code (available only from Porsche).

  6. You can try drying out your immobilizer and praying. If it has shorted out hen you have to get a new one AND have it programmed to your keys and DME.

  9. You do have to re-login when you go to the Reviews section as it is a different application that treats cookies differently. The main site should work fine with IE7. It does for me.

  11. Please have some patience - please allow 24 hours for responses to your questions. Check to see if anything fell into the fan area (under the pollen filter) and if it smells musty then the AC condensor drain may be plugged. If it is the drain then clear the drain and then run the heater as hot as it will go. It might also help to some disinfectant into the area of the heater core.

  13. Please try a search here as window problems and causes have been covered many times here.
  14. You need to have your car checked with a PST2 or PIWIS - they can individually test the circuit and likely tell you where the problem is.
  15. There are different part numbers for the Cayenne Wheel Opening Mouldings depending on whether or not there are mud flaps installed.

  18. My information comes from the Porsche OBD II manual (5.2.2) which covers your model year car. Yes, reset the DME. The adaption values are the TRA, TRA2 and FRA, FRA2. Most generic OBD II readers can not read those values.
  19. 000.044.500.08 is the kit. We always recommend the kit over individual parts. Use the -20 rear stabilizer (not the -15)
  20. Sounds like a bad sensor or control unit. Porsche had a problem back in 2003 with these - but that was fixed. Best have your dealer/OPC out their PIWIS tester on it.
