  1. :welcome: Give our Search a try-- it works! http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=87442
  2. On 2002 and newer cars the dealer can run a test with their PST2 or PIWIS and it will tell them if the DME has been changed. We've seen a number of cars that you can not program - but because the model type was never entered in the DME section. They might want to double check that before they order a DME.
  3. Folks you need to PM Porschelibrarian if you want to purchase something from him. Thanks
  4. I quoted the part number he gave me (986.331.043.07) which is called "control arm" in PET.
  5. Yes, the biggest part of the job is running the new wiring.
  6. Thanks for the update guys. Ya I figured the plug thing a bit too late. I was quite surprised to find that the plastic part off the clock spring that returns the signal to the neutral position broke as I was driving. Now my question is, I put it all back together as I wait for my part for the "plugged" :) dealer but my airbag light now remains on? Do I need a Porsche dealer t turn it off or did I mess something up? Thanks again both of you... You will need the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to turn off an airbag light.
  7. I think I would have the dealer look at it? It is still under warranty? I don't think you want to remove any suspension pieces - they are all there for a reason.
  8. Model and year of your car please?
  9. I just verified my problem to be switch related and I just saw you post regarding cleaning the switch itself. What was involved? The dealer tells me $123 for the switch alone. I've nothing to loose by trying to clean it first. Thanks. Have you checked the switch price at Sunset Porsche (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost)?
  10. Sorry I missed this earlier. Try 0114 or 0112
  11. Ho Loren, I just installed rear spaekers and disconnected the battery so the air bags didn't go off... same problem no code.. 2002 Boster S CDR 220 BE6625 15008646 HELP... cant see if the new speakers work!!!! Thank you... Try 9744 or 9742
  12. :welcome: With all the different sensors you will likely need a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS testers to find the alarm fault.
  13. :welcome: Yes, as long as you have the security code for the new radio.
  14. Try 6570 or 6568 Loren, Neither of these numbers seem to work. Any other suggestions? Does it make sense to try numbers closeby or can it be any number? Thanks, Paul Did you read the FAQ? Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  15. We fixed search so that you can search with a minimum of 3 characters again (i.e. PCM, PSM, ABS, top, etc., etc.). Apparently an database upgrade we did a while ago broken this - anyway it is now working again. Thanks to Contributing Member ettenw for spotting this!

  20. I do not think the cruise control clutch microswitch does anything to the DME program - other than turn off the cruise when the clutch is engaged. I've looked at the schematics and there is no direct connection - which means it could still be a CAN signal but that is all that it is "on" or "off".
  21. :welcome:
