  1. Just so folks know the MSRP is $299.00
  2. I posted a number of new and updated TSBs yesterday. 9x7 series got a new NAV TSB. Cayenne got an updated version of the TSB dated Nov 30, 2007. You might want to see what changed on that one. Right now my TSB delivers (from Porsche) are running about 1.5 to 2 months behind real time.
  3. Not on a US car order (those are RoW parts). You would need to buy the parts separately and then have them programmed/installed.
  4. Check with local Porsche shops to see who has one. Perhaps they will hook it for free hoping to get your business.
  5. There are a couple of TSBs on noises in the dash with solutions for each symptom. Contributing Members here can view ALL TSBs. Contributing Members can also use the Retail Price Search feature, and access the Contributors Only Forum. They can send attachments with PMs, image storage limits are raised for all Contributing Members, RennTech.org email addresses are available and a personal Blog. Contributions help defer the cost of running this site and providing this information to you. No one has to contribute but many members do. Without contributions this site would either have to go subscription or cease to exist.
  6. PIWIS is Porsche's official shop test and diagnostic tool. It can test specific components and record faults both pending and current. This tool should be able to tell you where the problem is. It can be used while you are driving (by a second person) to capture any faults that only occur then.
  7. Loren, I'm really sorry but I just don't see the answer to the question I'm asking in the Q&A page that you provided. I have checked the fuses and they all test fine and don't look to be blown. My uncle suggested that there maybe an internal fuse to the radio or that I need to disconect the battery again. I would just take it to the dealership but I honestly don't have the money to do so. If there is something I can do to fix it I will, but otherwise I'm out radio traffic reports and tunes without some porsche person help. I've never asked a question on here any maybe you think I'm a total blonde idoit...I'm not denying it...I'm just looking for help. :( Lora If the radio will not come on you should check the fuse panel near the left footwell - check fuse D8. As I recall there is also a fuse on the back of the radio - but the radio will need to be removed to check this. If you do not feel comfortable checking these then I suggest a good Porsche independent shop.
  8. Her are the "within" ranges for air mass (the air flow past the MAF) Idle -- 12 - 24 ML in kg/h No load, n=2500 rpm -- 40 - 70 ML in kg/h Adaption values usually refer to mixture adaption - these are TRA and FRA TRA: = Adaptation in area close to idle for cylinders 1 - 3 TRA2: = Adaptation in area close to idle for cylinders 4 - 6 FRA: = Adaptation under load for cylinders 1 - 3 FRA2: = Adaptation under load for cylinders 4 - 6 It might be good for you to pick one of the OBD II manuals from Sunset Imports - the 5.2.2 OBD II manual is only $55.
  9. Find a shop that has a PIWIS tester so they can diagnose the problem.
  10. Doh.. 2001 996 C2 A http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...post&p=3693
  11. The airbags will still work. You need either the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to reset the airbag circuit. You should have the Tiptronic checked for fault codes with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
  12. Year and model of your car please? The specs are different depending on that (i.e. egas, S vs. non-S, etc).
  13. We have added the model year 2009 Carrera Option Code Lookup to our Options Codes page. This includes the (as of today) 411 options.
  14. Have you tried Sunset Imports (Porsche parts at Dealer Cost)?
  15. You can download the Durametric Manual here. Your answer is on page 10. (hint - yes.)
  16. We have added and/or updated TSBs in the following categories (41 TSBs total): 987 - 3 987c - 3 996TT - 1 997-1 - 11 997-2 - 2 997 GT3 - 1 997TT - 1 Cayenne - 6 Cayenne gen 2 - 13 Includes retrofit instructions for adding music player to 987, 987c, 997, Cayenne.
  17. I don't think the Durametric can reset alarm codes. In this case you may just want to re-check them and see if they have incremented in a month or so.
  18. I am not sure what you mean about "meaningless codes". They are Porsche fault codes. Those are common (but not usually fatal faults). Have you tried clearing them and then see if they come back?
  19. You are correct - if you remove it you will need to turn that feature off (so the airbag will work again).
