  1. Um... I think they might fit but wouldn't they be facing the wrong way? since the Boxster engine is turned 180 degrees from the Carrera.
  2. 100 Time Units = 1 hour So 750 TU would be 7 hours 30 minutes. I can put the whole PSE muffler set in a car (w/o electronics) in less than 1 hour.
  3. Part of the MOST system specification requires that components added (or deleted) from the audio/entertainment network be programmed as such. Chances are you need to find someone with a PST2 or PIWIS to "turn on" the CD Changer option. Not even a 5 minute job.
  4. I have never seen them update a TSB for part number changes. I think they assume you will got to the parts list (PET) and PET will refer you the newest part.
  5. Its for a C4. PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) Install, w/o electronics
  6. Is this for a Boxster or Carrera - you posted this in Carrera but your profile says Boxster? I can move this if it is in the wrong place.
  7. It is like a high pitched electrical whistle that gets louder. I seems to come straight out of the cluster in front of you. It starts intemittent and within an extra 10mph is very high pitched and loud. It seems like feedback maybe? This may also be my imagination but I only seem to get it when the weather is dry ? How easy is it to remove the cluster Loren? Thanks again Matt http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...st&p=114651
  8. Do you mean a static noise? or an electrical arcing noise. I have not heard of either - but it might be worth while to remove the cluster and see if there are connectors that are not seated or worn/pinched wires.
  9. Yes, they are the same. The difference is 6 speed vs. Tiptronic and country specific.
  10. Installing a 3.6 would require a DME change. A GT3 or 996TT engine is not really feasible (IMHO) because the base engine for those cars is different (from the 964-993 engine base). That would require changing the oil system, transmission and engine mounts.
  11. You can not go wrong with the B&M shifter or if you want a less short throw you could go with the 997 shifter.
  12. Swaybar mounts? or even CV joints...
  13. There is a TSB for this - that also requires that they replace the connectors under the seats and re-solder the ground wires.
  14. Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Need Help With Codes Too, TYPE 4462 S/N Y5052799 Try 2669 or 2667

  17. Hi again, I tried 0517 and 0515 but neither did the trick and the radio went back to "WAIT" . I can try again later but do you have any other numbers I should try? thanks, Bob Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  18. There are numerous "oil" discussions here on the site - and many folks have their opinion on the best oil(s). Contributing Members can view Porsche's Approved Oils TSB list (all 11 pages).
  19. I just take a deep 19 mm and wrap it with black electrical tape. Never had any scratches so far.
