  1. The GT3 RS pulley bolt is shorter than that one. 999.217.128.01 bolt M 14 x 1.5 x 33 The standard bolt is: 993.102.550.80 bolt M 14 x 1.5 x 40
  2. 996.106.037.73 center radiator -- US MSRP $531.11 Used on 996TT, 997TT, and 997 GT3.
  3. One or more wheel sensors has an open connection.
  4. I would start by checking the wiring on the rear lid fan. If it is not something obvious there then you likely need to run a couple of tests with a PST2 or PIWIS to be sure.
  5. CDR-23 do not have security codes. If the CDR-23 is changed (or sometimes if something else is changed on the MOST bus)) it has to be reset using a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
  6. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  7. Hold the button down each direction for 10 seconds.
  8. That is the alarm switch for the center console lid. Item 24 below. You need to snap it back in place (provided it is not cracked or broken).
  9. Yes, check the brake light switch on the brake pedal.
  10. One correction... C4S - is a S version Carrera with All Wheel Drive 355 HP
  11. It is all covered in an 15 page TSB (Technical Service Bulletin). Contributing Members can view TSBs online, use the Retail Price Search feature, and access the Contributors Only Forum. They can send attachments with PMs, image storage limits are raised for all Contributing Members, RennTech.org email addresses are available and a personal Blog. Contributions help defer the cost of running this site and providing this information to you. No one has to contribute but many members do. Without contributions this site would either have to go subscription or cease to exist.
  12. Take the oil filter off - pour out the oil in it (about 0.5 quarts) - put the oil filter back on.
  13. :welcome: In the future please try our Search feature. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...st&p=118110
  14. No it is not a recall. It is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) which says this "could" be a problem on some cars and how to fix it. It would only be free if your car is under warranty or was covered by a Porsche CPO contract.
  15. I guess I believe that if the level is not going down you do not have a leak. There is a bleeder valve on the top of the tank that opens automatically to let air or other gases out - perhaps that is where you get some of the coolant smell from. Unless that valve is bad it does not let liquid out - and if it did I think you would see the coolant level go down. Bottom line... I would not change the tank until you have a proven leak.
  16. Try 0332 or 0330 Didn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help. Peter Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  17. Everything is changed through the OBD II port. Just different controllers on the circuit.
  18. Pardon me , please tell me what is "Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign" , my is a cpo used car ,is it still under warranty? thanks again The "Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign" was a series of fixes that were applied to early Cayenne's. Dealers were supposed to apply these updates/fixes at the next service. Depending on your VIN and your car's options there could be up to 40 Workshop Campaign fixes that should have been applied. If you have a CPO then they should have done these before they delivered the car to you. If they did not then they owe them to you.
  19. The only aftermarket (non-Porsche product) that does what you ask is the Durametric Software. http://www.durametric.com
  20. :welcome: Go to your dealer and ask them to perform TSB W501 - Rear Window Adjustment (Quality Improvement Workshop Campaign). You might want to have them check and see if other Workshop Campaigns have also been performed.
  21. i had an instance this week when there was no sound from my radio or CD player after briefly parking my p-car (in the shade). Immediately prior to my stop, everything was working as normal. But after unlocking car, and starting up, no sound! Radio was working (i.e., channel number is displayed, etc), but no sound. The car was parked for 5 minutes. Ambient air temperature approx 90-94 F in shade. Radio/CD unit is the CDR23; upgraded BOSE stereo with 6-CD changer in trunk. Following another appointment later that afternoon (this time, I closed the roof, and made sure the car locked with the double beep/flashing lights), the radio volume was back and working fine when I re-started the car about 1.5 hours later; p-car was parked in shade with air temperature down to about 70-75F I attributed the earlier sound failure to an electronics glitch possibly due to a peculiar combination of leaving the roof open, and my not properly depressing the lock button on my key. I have not been able to duplicate this yet. There is nothing next to the amplifier cooling fan. Any thoughts on what could cause this (i had heard that the CDR23 had some quirks)... Actually the amp rather the CDR-23 is a more common failure.
