  1. Correct. MY99-MY01 used H7, 55W MY02 and newer used H3, 55W
  2. Sorry, I don't have any Boxster transmission photos. Perhaps Tool Pants does...
  3. Check your option codes for leather interior.
  4. If you look closely at the first picture it says "Gemballa" on the rear lid. If you go to the Gemballa website it is there. http://www.gemballausa.com/986boxster_aero.asp
  5. I'll do that. Most likely, it is the original hose. First I'll warm the car up to operating temperature and see if the hose 'opens up'. I had the air box out when the engine was cold and noticed it. I dropped a screw into the engine compartment and you know how fun thait can be...... Thank You, Paul One of my best friends... ;)
  6. Still sounds bent.
  7. Did you check to see if any of the rear shifter arms (on the transmission) are bent? This is the most common problem.
  8. I say yes to all of the above.
  9. Hmm... a 9 year old hose... Age and wear is one possibility, Or a water pump that has broken impeller blades (now stuck somewhere). I would replace the hose (before it blows out) and see if the new one collapses too. If it does, then you may have a larger problem.
  10. Removal Release by turning 90°, and pull out of the installation opening. Installation Reverse of above. When installing the switch for the first time, it is essential to press it vertically against the bearing surface. It will otherwise not be possible to lock the switch (90° turn), even if great force is exerted. Adjust if needed. The pedal must move a perceptible distance of approx. 5 to 10 mm before the brake light lights up. At the same time, check (make sure) that the brake light lights up before the pedal meets perceptible resistance or before brake pressure builds up.
  11. The AC condensers are only on the the two outside (in front of the front wheels) radiators - not on the center radiator. Here is the center radiator.
  12. Loren.....is this true for a 2002 C2 as well? Yes, it can.
  13. Sometime you have to take a hook and hunt for the cable. Look around that area with a flashlight - someone may have moved it. But as short as that cable is it can't go far - it should still be in the same left rear tail light/bumper general area.
  14. The cable is behind the left rear tail light. You will likely have to reach behind the left rear wheel well liner to find it or near the tail light from under the car. Hello, I have same problem but the rear trunk is full of cloth packed into, and it wont open even solonoid works. Where can I find the emergency cable for rear lid? Mine is a 2001 986 Boxster. Battery is good! Help me please... thank you very much terry doc :welcome: As I said in the post two above yours... The cable is behind the left rear tail light. You will likely have to reach behind the left rear wheel well liner to find it or near the tail light from under the car.
  15. What does the SAE Viscosity rating on your motor oil bottle mean?
  16. Yes, sometimes I smell coolant if I go to the back of the car after a spirited drive. No leaks, coolant level good - so I don't worry about it.
  17. Did you try the folks at Road Sport Supply? sales@roadsportsupply.com
  18. It sounds like you need to make sure that the crankshaft has not moved and the timing chains have not slipped a notch - check the cam timing too.
  19. They don't say anything specific about the GT3 RS - so it must be the same as the standard pulley - 37 ftlb.
  20. What car/engine are we talking about?
  21. Probably the switch in the door handle. Do a search - this has been covered many times before (same mechanism for all 9x6 series cars).
