  3. That's the easiest option by far although if your dealer is willing, he can turn off the seat belt chime. No dealer in the US would do this (if they could). They would be risking legal liability in an accident.
  4. The radiator fans do not run when the engine is off.
  5. Did you check the alarm horn (near the battery)? Test it with 12 volts to see if it is working or not. Only other choice you have is to put a PST or PIWIS tester on it and manually test each switch, sensor and lock. Not hard to do but the Durametric can not (yet) do these tests it can only read faults.
  6. Search is your friend... How to remove stripped drain plug?
  7. My advice is look for the simple stuff first. Have the fault codes read and systems tested with a PST2 or PIWIS tester. This simple task could save you lot down the road.
  8. Yes, this DIY can fix the problem -- unless the latch is bent.
  9. Loren, does Porsche have to "re-approve" a tire if the tire manufacturer makes any type of a change/revision...hence an NO...and then it becomes an N1? Yes, exactly.
  10. N1 is a later approval of an N0 tire. If it has an N approval you are good to go with it.
  11. 996.111.220.01 Clamping Sleeve -- US MSRP $28.39 each
  12. Any water in the door panel?
  13. Please try our Search feature... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=93014
  14. Porsche made internal parts for the gearboxes available two or three years ago.
  15. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  16. Some folks have had luck taking the drain plug out with various tools. How to remove stripped drain plug? Drei Bond silicone - Type 1209 is the Porsche stuff. Any engine builders high temperature silicone should work.
  17. :welcome: Use the MY04 maintenance schedules here.
  18. Is it long like item 21? Try to see where it goes.
  19. As RFM said above the mileage is also in the DME - so they will go by that. The one I know of on the West Coast here is Palo Alto Speedometer. They offer certified repair and speedometer corrections.
  20. Can you ID the tube/hose here?
