  1. Porsche flash or 3rd party flash?
  2. Without looking at the MAF (with a PST2 or PIWIS tester) it is impossible to tell if it is functioning correctly. Either you have had bad MAF's, you have a wiring problem or your brake light switch is intermittent. Another possibility is an intake leak - do you have the stock intake system?
  3. I do not know - the only way I know to be sure is to program the TT cluster without air-sus. (if that is possible) and put it in a Cayenne S. I know you can reprogram a Carrera or 996TT cluster to work in a Boxster.
  4. Use the factory of 0W-40.
  5. So normal that it has only ever happened once? When you get in your p-car and just insert your key, your radio turns on? I think so... my Mercedes does the same thing too.
  6. topmech0 is correct - you should not have to recalibrate a C2. It should correct itself the next time you fill up. If not, after the fill up disconnect the battery for 5 minutes then reconnect it.
  7. You want part number 900.123.106.30 sealing ring 16 x 24 -- US MSRP $0.38 each
  8. If you want to see which TSB updates, Workshop Campaigns, and recalls (if any) have been done on your car - only a dealer can look that up in Porsche's database. But any dealer can do that. If you want to read the TSB, Workshop Campaigns, and recalls then you need become a Contributing Member here. How to become a Contributing Member
  9. I looked at your profile. A MY99 C2 is not egas so you have an idle control valve. Chances are this needs cleaning or the solenoid is bad and it needs replacing. Either way you should remove it clean it (and the throttle body while you are there). This process has been documented here many times so please do a search if you need details thanks for the tips loren, i found how-tos of the throttle body cleaning but i cant seem to locate insturctions on how to get to the idle control valve. can anyone help me out? There are just two Torx (or allen) screws and an electrical connection on the idle control valve. Be careful of the paper gasket when you take it off - so you can reuse it.
  10. I agree with topmech0 you need to put a PST2 or PIWIS tester on the car and run the Tiptronic diagnostics.
  11. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...ost&p=30923
  12. Maybe and maybe not - it will dpend on what else is on the fiber optic bus (that expects to see the radio).
  13. The radios in Porsche's are fiber optic linked since MY2002. So unless the replacement is compatible with the MOST fiber optic system it won't work. The other option is to wire in all new radio, speakers, amp, etc.
  14. You said seats - not seat belts. ;) Seat belts are standard 17 mm (for the bottom bolts).
  15. 986.505.551.00.2GX cover (prime coated) -- US MSRP $85.66
  16. Most likely BBS.
  17. Hold the button down even after the window reaches it limit for an additional 10 seconds. Then do the same in the other direction. If that does not fi it then you have another problem.
  18. If they look just like those and are 17" wheels then they are Sport Classic wheels - which were are a Porsche optional wheel. If they are 18" and have bolts holding the rim together then they are Sport Classic II's.
  19. Both are one-touch. Have you tried retraining the window?
  20. Yes, you want to find a Porsche independent shop that has all the right Porsche tools.

  22. Folks -- please get this thread back on the topic and stop the personal attacks. Please re-read the board Guideline/Rules if you are unclear on the rules here. Thank you.
