  1. Found a NorCal distributor for Mobil 1 5W 50
  2. :welcome: I would start with the brake light switch on the pedal.
  3. Try Autozone. Sounds like maybe an AOS failure.
  4. Not sure about what is available in the UK - I would stick with a major brand. OEM is just 3 times the cost and does not last any longer.
  5. If the battery is 4 years old (or older) then you need a new one. If it is newer it should be tested for specific gravity (from cell to cell) and load tested.
  6. Wake up is a connection from the DVD drive (A5) to the PCM (C4).
  7. ... or the control modules were never installed.
  8. Model and year of car please?
  9. Try 0068 or 0066 Unfortunately they did not seem to work; any other suggestions apart from the 2 digits either side as suggested in the FAQ? Sorry, the FAQ says it all.
  10. Yes, Porsche's name for those type trim pieces is "rose".
  11. Look on the door jamb. There is a tag there with the month and year of your build. This is mine - build date 5/99
  12. 1. Pull seat belt rose cover up and off. 2. Undo fastening screw behind it (be careful not to drop it into the chassis). 3. Detach side-panel lining by unscrewing the hex bolt for the rear seat latch. Pull locking lugs of side-panel lining out of the clips in the rear side section and move forward enough to get at the back of the speaker. 4. Disconnect the loudspeaker electrical plug connection and disconnect. Remove panel.
  13. Model and year of your car please. And what sound system currently...
  14. Porsche book time for a clutch (pressure plate and disc) on a MY01 996TT is just under 6 hours. My Porsche time book is a December 2006 version - but I do not know why the time would change.
  15. Sorry, that car is a 964 C4 Turbo Look. The order type 964150 is C4 Turbo Look. A 964 RS would be order type 964370 or 964371 (RHD).
  16. Once again....THANKS Loren, So, it does look very straight forward except the big difference being that this 'how-to' is for a Boxster; some of the parts (AMP for one) are in different places but the location of the Changer is the same. I also remember reading someplace that I might have to have the Dealer "turn the radio on" for the CD Changer??? I guess I'll know that if the radio doesn't recognize that the CD is present, after installation. Thanks again for your help, C'ya, Not for a CDC-3 - you just use the change modes button to cycle through FM, single CD, and CDC-3.
  17. Tom Morris of The Babblers wrote this up a few years ago. http://boxsters.addr.com/hacks/cd_changer.htm
  18. Are you sure it is not 236? 236 is 18" tires. 09991 means "manufacture from the exclusive-programme" This just means that there is one or more options from the exclusive option list on the car.
  19. In my experience the tool either works or it doesn't. You can damage your car even with a working tool if you try hard enough. Porsche/Bosch have tried to make it as fool proof as possible.
  20. Folks we are going to postpone this and will be rescheduled at a later date. Because we are supposed to get steady rain throughout the weekend (and we do need the rain) it would make it hard for folks to get there and then some might have to work out in the rain. So we will just reschedule this for a later date or maybe break it into smaller groups meeting at my house. Please stay tuned...
  21. I think it says every 20,000 miles for the first change then 40,000 thereafter or 2 years - which ever comes first. I personally would not go over 12,000 between oil changes (or 2 years).
