  1. Was is the fault code(s) please?
  2. :welcome: It is very helpful if you tell the model and year of your car. Hi Loren, It is a 99 Boxster. Thanks, Will P0446 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Function) - Below Lower Limit Potential causes: - Purge air line blocked. - Flow resistance of EVAP canister too high. There are some threads on this in the Boxster area - do a search and see what others found.
  3. Front is fine but I think you want 285/30 x 18 rears.
  4. Newsflash - "July 29, 2008, Sirius and XM officially merge as Sirius XM Radio, Inc. Sirius XM chosen as new name." There are two part numbers depending on whether your car has a CD changer or not. 955.044.902.68 Satellite radio set, XM (INo. QV4) with CD autochanger 955.044.902.67 Satellite radio set, XM (INo. QV4) without CD autochanger Both have an US MSRP of $750 (without installation). Try Sunset Imports for better pricing. Contributing Members here have viewing rights to read the 14 page installation instructions TSB from Porsche.
  5. If your mid-high RPM performance is poor then it is likely the MAF. Either way I would start by cleaning the the MAF (as documented here elsewhere).
  6. I believe the speedometer signal comes from the 4 wheel sensors (also used for ABS and PSM if you have it). I think you are going to need a PST2 or PIWIS tester to find out what is going on.
  7. Try Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) - link near top center of the page.
  8. Rear spoiler instructions for bleeding hydraulics
  9. :welcome: It is very helpful if you tell the model and year of your car.
  10. P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit Potential causes: – Incorrect signal from MAF sensor – Intake air system leaking – Fuel pressure too low – Volume supply of fuel pump too low – Fuel injectors fouled – Exhaust system leaking
  11. Thank you for your recent donation! In most cases the hard downshifting can be fixed with a program update by your dealer/OPC.
  12. So why does Porsche stock two sets of part numbers and gear sets? I did not see the remark about the same ratios just no steel synchros - I'll see if I can find my X50 technical info tomorrow.
  13. Emergency cable release for the gas filler door.
  14. No, I said that before they are not connected. Interior are off the alarm/central locking control and reverse is off the How is your ignition switch? If you wiggle the key do things change?
  15. According to the parts list - X50 get a different gear set. I likely have a list of the exact ratios somewhere buy can't find it right now.
  16. Hmm. Let me double check. I will update this posting tomorrow. It's not a triple square as well. Is it the same wrench for Euro or ROW version 911? Any other suggestions will be appreciated. As far as I know US/Canada and RoW are the same either triple square or allen head.
  17. Brake lights switche(s) are on the brake pedal - try bypassing them. The reverse lights switch is on the transmission.
  18. Sorry, we need the alarm fault code.
  19. It can - because you have a fouled mixture. Any spark plugs changes or coils issues recently?
  20. Yes it can be order separately - but that would also require painting and R&R.
  21. Those are misfire codes 300 = multiple misfires, 301 cylinder 1 and 304 cylinder 4. As I said before... Does it continue to blow smoke? If so, do a search here for AOS repairs and also have a look at the oil filler tube. Both are plastic and will eventually break.
  22. You might be surprised what a good dent doctor could do. I would certainly show it to a couple and see what they say.
  23. My understanding on the transmission is slightly different gear ratios. Also X50 gets a GT2 muffler (larger bore pipes).
  24. I put GT3 front wheels on my car so they are 8" rather than 7.5. I would go with a 235 front. 245's will rub at full lock.
