    From Scouser's VIN Decoder: "Assembly Plant Location: The 11th character position in the VIN and the 2nd in the VIS is used to specify the Assembly Plant Location where the vehicle was built. Note that the component parts of the vehicle may have been manufactured and/or sourced from other locations. This VIN character position only specifies where the components of the vehicle were assembled into a completed vehicle. Porsche has several manufacturing plants and the characters used for the Assembly Plant Locations are defined as follows: L = Leipzig S = Stuttgart N = Neckarsulm U = Uusikaupunki (Finland)"

    What you see is what Porsche offers (at this point in time). Have you talked to a dealer to see what they say is available?

    There are two switches on the brake pedal (one is for cruise control) - Are you sure you changed the right one?

    If you have a voltmeter it should be pretty easy to test voltages. Check the power sources and then check the relay output (to the solenoid) in each switch position.

    Here is the complete diagram for a MY04 Boxster. The switch was not an option (nor was there a diagram before MY03 - but I know folks have done the same switch mod on older Carrera's.

    Remove the headlight and inspect the connect that stays in the fender. See if it is broken or if any of the pins have been pushed out. If all is well then swap the bulb from the bad light to the good one. If the problem follows the bulb then you know you need a bulb. If the problem does not follow the bulb then there is a possibility that it is the headlight switch. Usually though, when the headlight switch goes out you get all kinds of weird headlight problems - not just one light.

    That's pretty early for any TWC or sensor problems. I think I would erase the codes and see if they come back.

    Perhaps we are overlooking the simple? How old is your battery? Have you had the cells tested and load tested? A going bad battery can also cause some strange things.

    Check oil pressure, oil pump, pressure-regulating valve and oil type. Could be someone put in the wrong oil - I would change it to Mobil 1 0W-40 to make sure. Clear the code and see if it comes back.

    Check your Owner's Manual. For 18" wheels: Front - 36 PSI Rear - 44 PSI

    You would need to check the rotors for cracks (between the cross drilled holes) and for thickness. Minimums are: front 26 mm rear 22 mm

    That 35 series will over 1 inch larger in overall diameter and cause your speedometer to read high. If you have PSM I would stick with Porsche's recommended 30 series in the rear - and make sure you keep the recommended 44 PSI in them.

    The outer door panel itself is the same. The speaker, speaker enclosure and I believe the speaker grills are all different.

    The dealer just hooks up the PIWIS tester and re-programs the controller. The PIWIS has the latest version of software for DME and Tiptronic, etc.
