  1. At this time the specs for the MY09 Cayman (and Boxster) have not been announced.

  3. :welcome: P1325 Camshaft Adjustment, Bank 2 – Signal Implausible Possible fault cause: - Dirt in system - Solenoid hydraulic valve mechanically blocked
  4. Take the panel off to get to the back of the switch - put an ohm meter across the switch and see what it does when you rotate the knob... or borrow a switch from someone and try it to confirm if your is bad or not.
  5. :welcome: If are really interested in this car then I suggest you spend the money on a Carfax and a PPI (Pre-Purchase Inspection). I don't think Carfax can tell you if the recalls were done - only what is needed. For this car they say: " Manufacturer recall issued #A601 Tailpipe cover, 3.8L Manufacturer Voluntary Service Action issued #W556 Voluntary Service Action - Lid lock Manufacturer Voluntary Service Action issued #W731 Voluntary Service Action - PURGE FAN 05"
  6. Try a substitute rheostat (control switch behind the knob).
  7. Dealers, independent shops and few DIY'ers have PIWIS testers. They about $18,000 leased from Porsche (and about $10,000/year after the initial contract). They are a specialty diagnostic tool for Porsches.
  8. Do you mean dash or front console?
  9. Try 2540 or 2538 hi loren, thank you for the code but they are don work.i put one, after the second and nothink.what can i do new? Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST hi,loren.i maded like you write there.i try a lot of nr but nothing.what boton i put after the code? mi english is not to good,i hope you andestend mi.thanks You don't press any buttons - the code either works or it doesn't.
  10. Thanks. I will give it a try next time. I didn't see a brake bleeding procedure though? You should not need to bleed when changing pads. If you want to renew your brake fluid (highly recommended every two years) then you will find a brake bleeding DIY in the same section. Clutch bleeding on a 996 TT is different though - you will need Pentosin for that.
  11. As RFM said you need to put the car on a PIWIS tester.
  12. I know it was scanned - because I did it.
  13. Yes, Chevron Techron was recommended by Porsche for earlier models.
  14. Running out of fuel in these cars is not good. Try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes to reset the DME. Then you will need to drive it some to re-learn the DME programming.
  15. Mk1 was never sold in the US so we didn't have a manual to scan. 997 GT3 needs to be scanned and submitted by some thoughtful member.
  16. Check the 996 DIY area - 996 TT is pretty much the same. As a matter of fact the pics in that DIY are from a 996 TT.
  17. Yes, a properly powered ECU can be read out of the car (that is how Durametric does their development). It is supposed to be permanent - unless the ECU is replaced with a new one and they did not transfer the data.
  18. High? The new 997-2 normally aspirated is 12.5.
  19. Yeah, now 2 and 3 both have misfires.
