  1. P0441 Fuel tank ventilation system above limit value/below limit value Possible cause of fault - Tank vent faulty (remains stuck in an open or closed position) - Tank vent installed the wrong way round - Leak in scavenging lines between tank vent and positive crankcase ventilation (in the Turbo via a T-piece also on the intake side of the turbocharger) - Scavenging lines between tank vent and positive crankcase ventilation trapped or blocked (in the Turbo via a T-piece also on the intake side of the turbocharger)
  2. 997.044.901.77 Set, music player interface - USA -- US MSRP $394.98 The music player interface has the following main features: - Discrete installation position in the center console storage bin - Connection for external music players (iPod®, MP3 player, etc.) - Standard connection socket for 3.5-mm jack plug - Battery charge function for the iPod® - Volume control via PCM - Music tracks can be selected using an external music player
  3. Potential causes: Secondary air injection pump does not work. - Wiring harness or fuse - Relay - DME control module Air supply lines restricted. Electric change-over valve does not work. Air change-over valve does not work. - Air supply lines - Secondary air injection pump - Electric change-over valve - Air change-over valve Look for these Vacuum system leaks
  4. Then I would get the battery checked anyway - a good load test and a specific gravity test to see if there is a bad cell.
  5. How old is your ignition switch?
  6. If it is a "new" as opposed to a used cluster them it can be set with a PST2 or PIWIS tester (along with many other settings).
  7. Not sure about RoW 964's but a US 1990 C2 did have a CEL and a diagnostic plug. So you would need the Durametic software or a PST2 tester with the appropriate round connector cable.
  8. You need to look at the fault codes - they will save you a lot of diagnostic time.
  9. I think wross996TT was asking more whether the emergency brake light comes on. It is that switch that tells the Cab top control unit it is okay to move the top.
  10. Can you please add your location to profile? Perhaps someone close to you that has Cabriolet can give you a hand.
  11. Please welcome RFM to the RennTech.org Moderating Team. :welcome: RFM has recently retired from working for Porsche and Porsche OPC/Dealerships. He has a wealth of knowledge that I am sure will be a great asset to all of us here. A little background history on RFM: RFM left engineering school in 1968, and joined Porsche as engineer in the factory for 12 years. Then he came back to Belgium (where he now lives) to work in the local importer's after sales dept. as OPC technical support via telephone, mail, etc. Just a reminder - please use the Search feature before posting. Many questions have been answered here already. Then, if you can not find you question/answer - post your question in the appropriate forum. Please do not send an email or a PM (Personal Message) to an Admin or Moderator before you have searched and posted in a forum. RennTech.org is a free site - supported by donations. No one here gets paid, there is no profit - all donations go to operating cost of this site. The people that work behind the scenes to bring you what you see are all Porsche enthusiasts, as well as volunteers. So, any admin or moderator that is helping folks here is doing so without any payment or reward other than the satisfaction of helping fellow Porsche owners. Please give them courtesy and respect they deserve. We are very fortunate to have someone with RFM's excellent background here to help answer your technical questions and concerns. ...and Happy New Year to all!
  12. RFM is correct. My mistake - oil temperature sender top right side of engine.
  13. Top side of the engine? If so, likely the oil pressure sending unit.
  14. :welcome: Porsche Cayenne Tequiment 955.044.000.21 Spare wheel carrier; complete basic kit
  15. I would run away from that one... That is not a PIWIS as shown - just part of a PIWIS package. That is a Bosch KTS-520 which is the interface box to a PIWIS - you still don't have the computer or software that I see.
  16. I suggested a battery maintainer (not a booster) or find and pull the emergency release cable.
  17. Have you run the car's VIN through the VIN Decoder here - to find out what country it was really made for? I would do that first because there are different OBD requirements in different countries.
  18. Sorry Foster that procedure does not work on MY2000 and older cars - there is no terminal in the fuse box.
  19. Try 4666 or 4664 Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  20. You will need either the Durametric Software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to reset the service reminder.
  21. The starter lock relay is on the relay 2 support bracket next to the DME. Under the carpet panel behind the rear seats. Be careful here I do not know how the alarm/drive block will tolerate these changes.
  22. Just remove the access plug at the bottom of each bumperette (if you have them) then loose the allen head bolt on each.
