  1. A new 2000 Boxster S Owners Manual is WKD.986.021.00 and has a US MSRP $34.54. A new 2000 Boxster S Maintenance Manual is WKD.900.023.00 and has a US MSRP $24.06. I am sure the folks a Sunset Imports can get you better pricing than that. Sorry, but many of the manuals on eBay are a rip off.
  2. Try 1266 or 1264 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  3. Do I need to disconnect my battery for 5 min? Which MAF was in your car and what is your new MAF? OLD MAF=986.606.125.00 NEW MAF=986.606.125.01 Then all you need to do is disconnect the battery for about 5 minutes. When you start the car will run rough for a few minutes until the DME learns the new MAF. You will need to drive the car at least 5 to 10 miles to get the DME to re-learn your driving style. Once that is done the car should idle and run normally. Awesome, thanks. One last question on this topic: is it safer to disconnect the positive or negative terminal of the battery or do I need to disconnect both? I usually disconnect the positive.

  7. Try 8713 or 8711 If you have not already read this please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST No luck with the codes 8711 or 8713 ... but I did get another number out of the radio ... R3297 I hope this helps... Thanks, I appreciate your help with this! Please read the FAQ.
  8. Try 9564 or 9562 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  9. Sorry, bad news - you will need a new immobilizer and a major programming of that new unit. If they are lucky it is alive enough to get some of the old key codes from the unit. Check with independent Porsche shops that have done this before and have a PST2 or PIWIS tester - one of those and the experience using it will be required for the repair.

  11. As said previously get the drivers seat out and the alarm/immobilizer box ASAP and get it dried out. Check your drains and find your leak (covered here in other posts).
  12. Feel under the drivers seat - is it wet? How old is your car battery? All Porsche radios work without the key - that is a "feature" of German cars.
  13. Awesome! thanks for the tip. I guess most of steps are self explanatory, except... could you please let me know how to remove headlights? Thanks in advance! Mike Mike - you need to look in your Owners Manual. How to remove and install the headlights is covered there in detail.
  14. 993.375.049.06 Motor mount -- US MSRP $155.30 each (2 required).

  17. Going from 986.606.125.00 to 986.606.125.01 is not a problem. If you had the earlier 124 MAF then reprogramming of the DME is required to use the newer 125.00 and 125.01 MAF.

  19. I sent you a PM.
  20. With the ignition switched on, shifting from "P" or N" to a drive position is possible only if the brake pedal is depressed as well. The locking facility is triggered by a solenoid valve, which activates a detent pawl on the selector lever. The multi-function switch detects the position "P" or "N" and signals this to the Tiptronic control module. However, the control module does not cause the solenoid to release the selector lever until a signal from the brake-light switch has arrived. So, start by checking your brakes lights - do they always work? If it is not the brake light switch then you will likely need a PST2 or PIWIS tester to see if there is a fault code in the Tiptronic control unit.
