  1. Have you checked the fuses for the windows? they are not in the immobilizer/central locking circuit.
  2. Yes, they should sell you just the plastic part. About $40 MSRP as I recall. Make sure you get the right one for your car because they are different.
  3. Brown/Red would be a standard (US) for Carrera with Tiptronic. Does the car have Tiptronic?
  4. Hello again. Think I found it. It was attached on the underside of the plastic cover. It has the part number 7L0907643. Can't erase the fault code, so I guess I have to buy a new. By the way, what does this sensor do? Don't buy a new one until you erase the fault - perhaps Durametric can not erase that fault. Have someone with a PST2 or PIWIS try to erase the fault.
  5. Push them back down until they latch.
  6. What are the color codes on the rear springs? If it is brown/white then that is a standard US rear suspension. Remember - you want your suspension components to be matched (tuned).
  7. Problem is if you look on your car and the spring colors are wrong - then you have no idea what is on the car. You might need springs, shocks, and swaybars. So, you need to decide whether you want he standard suspension (M032) or the sport suspension (M030). Then do you want the US version or the RoW (Rest of the World) version. RoW version will be somewhat lower.
  8. :welcome: There are the 3 Torx screws which you found. Towards the outside edge on each side are a nut and washer covered by a sound adsorbent material. Remove the material and take the nuts and washers off (in the recess).
  9. Instructions and a parts list are in the TSB. TSB 45/07 1961 Coolant Pipe Leaking -- dated Feb 22, 2008
  10. An accumulator or hydraulic problem would usually mean poor shifting in all gears - not just 2, 4 and 6.
  11. It just sits in two rubber(like) gaskets. Yes....I see those and that appears to be where the leak is. After several hours of sitting, it does not appear to leak. But if I take it out for a drive, there are a few drops of fluid underneath the reservoir. Any ideas? Thanks, Kevin Well, it is most likely either a cracked reservoir or bad gasket. Chances are you will need to take it off to inspect it. I use a large hypodermic needle to withdraw the brake fluid and put it a clean container so it can be reused.
  12. Check the shift linkage under the car on the transmission first. If that looks undamaged then check the cables and shifter in the center console.
  13. It's a pretty big job - lots of not so obvious things need to move/come out first. Like the coolant lines and steering wheel universal clamp/steering gear. Might I ask why you need to remove it?
  14. Try 5354 or 5352 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Please read the FAQ.
  15. A single beep means that one alarm zone is open. Without the Durametric Software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester you are just guessing. If were to guess I'd say the center console being open is the most common.
  16. We have many of these same features - but we also serve more than one model car. Our information is not limited by the fact that the car is out of production. We take donations because 1. the cost of running a site like this is pretty high (software licenses, bandwidth, disk space, server lease, etc.). 2. TSBs and other Porsche documentation - we have to pay Porsche for that. We have a yearly subscription to TSBs that is several hundred dollars alone. I would also suggest that there area a lot more Porsche owners out there than NSX owners. Our shear volume of traffic is likely much higher. Perhaps Acura gives their technical information away since they don't built the cars any more? I do not know. If you have constructive suggestions for improving this site please feel free to post then in the "Forum Comments/Suggestions" area.
  17. In the US the only place you can get past service records are at a dealer/OPC. For privacy reasons only dealers/OPC people can view the past service records. Take your VIN to the closest dealer/OPC and ask them about it. If they refuse to look it up ask them let you talk to a Porsche AG representative.
  18. The latest coil pack for your car is: 997.602.107.00 What are all the current fault codes?
  19. Please do a Search here - this subject has been covered dozens of times...
  20. Check TSB 3/08 1359 Spacer Ring For Crankshaft Sealing Ring -- dated Feb 18, 2008. Does your car have the correct spacer ring?
  21. Try 5354 or 5352 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  22. DO NOT drive the car with a flashing CEL - damage to the catalytic converter will occur (and they are very expensive). P1317 Misfire, Cylinder 5, Emission Relevant Potential causes: - Fouled, faulty or incorrect - spark plugs - Contact resistance - Loose contacts If the coil pack is good I would replace the spark plug and also pull back the boot on the coil pack connector - looking for corrosion or bad connections.
  23. The main harness already comes through the body on the right rear side.
  24. Yea I dont see em either. Having a hell of a time on how to replace the air filter ?????????????? I know its there somewhere !!!!!
