  1. i start my engine begin to drive and there is some automatic brake on the front wheel (like if the abs activated ) then the abs light on the computer say abs default intervention after that the PSM light go on too and after that the gps is freeze at the last position before the too light go on if i stop and restart the engine the gps is ok until the too light come back all the other fonction of the pcm are ok tank you for your help my porsche dealer think it s an abs pcm sensor on a wheel ( after first thinking it was a battery default ) i think he doesn t know tank you for your help Your OPC/dealer needs to put a PIWIS tester on the car run diagnostics. With the symptoms you are having I am sure it will find a fault or two.
  2. Yes, MY99 Tiptronic control units are different part numbers than MY01. And, there were two different part numbers used in MY99 cars. You car shares Tiptronic cotrol units only with other MY00-01 cars. Sounds like your OPC needs to run diagnostics on the Tiptronic in your car with a PST2 or PIWIS tester.
  3. Durametric - under $300 does most of what every DIY'er will ever need. PIWIS - leased by Porsche at 18,000 USD for the first year and then 12,000 USD for each succeeding year (includes updates).
  4. As of now I see no sign that moisture has made its way to the engine case...I assume this is the whitish look that I have seen pictures of? Also the cap ends in 30 and not 01. Thanks for the quick responses! I've seen 00, 01, 02 and 03 part number caps but not a 30. Can you take a pic?
  5. No, sorry those only fit Boxster S bumpers.
  6. Hmm... Tequipment only lists USA versions in aluminum finish. The standard parts area list steel grey for Canada but not aluminum finish. Maybe try the folks at Sunset Imports - perhaps they could special order?
  7. Try 0118 or 0116 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  8. A Traffic Pro is different than the radios in this thread. The Traffic Pro Owners Manual tells you how to get the serial number. If you don have one you can download it here. As I said your other post - you will need to get the code from a dealer/OPC or Becker.
  9. Sounds like potentially bad coolant tank sensor to me.
  10. Double chime sounds like the speed gong. He should check and see if the car has OBC enabled (with the 4th stalk) and then he can turn off the speed gong.
  11. :welcome: That is a Traffic Pro (navigation radio) - an optional NAV radio. You will likely have to go to a dealer or Becker to get the number. Do a search here on replacing a key. You will need to buy a key with a 40 digit ID and then have it programmed to your car. For the programming you will need all functioning keys you already have plus the new key. The maximum number of keys programmed to any one car (at one time) is 4.
  12. Do you mean the engine compartment purge fan? Because the front radiator fans do not ever run with the engine off.
  13. Try 8887 or 8885 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

  15. Try 0999 or 0997 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  16. Get a good commercial plastic polishing kit. Ask a body shop what they use.
  17. I do not think it is your cluster. Flashing Coolant Light
  18. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  19. Apart from something broken or jammed, why won't the fans run on high with the car above 105C? What temperature are the fans supposed to switch to high speed? I know I have posted this before... From the 1999 Porsche Carrera Service Information Book: "There are two radiator modules installed in the front of the vehicle (on the left- and right-hand side). These radiators are each fitted with an electric fan. They can be operated at two speeds and are activated by the DME control unit whenever the following conditions apply: Electric fan, speed 1 (Ground to DME control unit, terminal 35) Coolant temperature higher than 96.75°C or air conditioning switched on. Electric fan, speed 2 (Ground to DME control unit, terminal 36) Coolant temperature > 102°C or air-conditioning fluid pressure switch closed (coolant pressure > 16 bar)."
  20. How about Belgium? If so, try Carnewal.com
  21. Thanks but I don't drink coffee (strange eh?). You can always Donate to the site...
  22. Try 4714 or 4712 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  23. Residue and the top of the coolant tank and some overheating is possible if the leak is bad enough.
