  1. I would get the battery tested for load and specific gravity of each cell.
  2. Does anyone have any more info on this "hand-over reset" I'm having the exact same issues (mentioned in another thread). Kind of glad they're not separate issues, never-the-less still a problem. Thanks Sam What do you want to know? Basically they just run a program the PIWIS that inventories the control units in the car and resets them to their new car delivery state. It is a no brainer. have just made an appointment with my Porsche dealer to go in and do the hand-over reset, cost $65. Will update this thread with results sam :o A good dealer would not charge for this obvious warranty/Porsche fault.
  3. Yes, but the Boxster engine sits in car turned 180 degrees.

  5. ...or the electrical connectors on the coils are not all the way on.
  6. Sounds like you need to clean the throttle body. Do a search here as that has been covered many times.
  7. There is a several page TSB on replacing the buckles and re-soldering the ground connections under the drivers seat. Contributing Members here can view all Porsche TSBs.
  8. :welcome: Based on your engine power your Cayenne Turbo should have 19 inch front brakes (not 14.5 inches (368 mm) as your measurement suggests). Can you verify this so I can get you the correct part numbers?

  10. :welcome: Without the model and year of your car folks here will just be guessing.
  11. Thanks Loren - I just ordered the OBD-2.com software (I've got vehicles OTHER than Porches :P ) but I'm guessing all that will really do is confirm my voltage readings, not tell me if they are in or out of spec.. Will the Durametric do that? Both should be able to give you your air flow readings in kg/h (not voltage).
  12. I think you need to look at the MAF with the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to see what it is doing at idle and at 2500 RPM - no load. Those numbers will tell you if it is working right or not.
  13. If you think the purge fan is bad you could test it with a PST2 or PIWIS tester - worse case take it out of the circuit and put 12 volts across it.
  14. If you just do a recommended ATF change on or before schedule I think you will be fine. Technically you never get all the oil out of the engine either.
  15. Why (if you don't mind me asking) do you need a complete fluid change? That is normally done at rebuild and complete disassembly.
  16. 997.424.031.63.8G1 Parking brake in macassar/sand beige -- US MSRP $813.73 997.424.075.04.FPC 6 speed shift knob in macassar/sand beige -- US MSRP $712.12 Be sure to check with Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for better pricing.
  17. Probably not - you will need a PIWIS tester. So, find a shop or dealer with one. Thanks for the information. Is there an aftermaket tester available? You can check with the folks at Durametric - but I do not think their software does this yet.

  19. Hi Loren, thanks for the reply. My local Porsche independent just acquired a PIWIS but, as yet, hasn't done an ECU reflash. Do you have access to any documents that detail the procedure to reflash the ECU? Also, do you have any idea how the flash files come from Porsche? Are they on CD/DVD or are the various files included the software that gets loaded onto the PIWIS computer? Sorry for so many questions - hope you can help. The flash files come in the PIWIS updates. You just enter in the proper IPAS codes for your car (you can get these from any dealer/OPC) and then re-code the DME. They will need to choose the proper emissions program (from the PIWIS list) for your country. The whole process might take 30 minutes.
  20. Try 5104 or 4102 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Also, please shorten or make your signature more horizontal - it takes half of my screen.
  21. Yes, buy a MY2006 or newer - the engine problems were sorted by then.
  22. :welcome: P1123 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold P1125 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 4 - 6) - Lean Threshold This says that the DME thinks your mixture is too rich - and can make it lean enough. Potential causes are: - Fuel pressure too high. - Fuel injector leaking. - EVAP canister purge valve open. Make sure the MAF is functioning properly by reading the air flow at idle and at 2500 RPM no load (you will need Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to do this). Scan for more codes - It could be a stuck EVAP purge valve.
  23. :welcome: If you want to be sure have a shop put the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester ont he car and see what is going on.
