  6. I am experiencing the same issue regarding not being able to rest the OBC. I have control up and down as well as forward for the speed set control I just do not get a RESET on my mileage. I have a 2001 MY 986. I have 5 wires from my harness connecting to the 4th stalk. I know for sure that pins 22 & 23 control correctly and which ever pin is controlling forward motion on the stalk I don't know if that is considered front? the issue seems to be with the opposing motion (that would control the reset.) Can anyone clarify the pin arrangement. it seems that everywhere I look I get the same pin wiring diagram. Late cluster (MY01 and newer)
  7. Please do a search here as this has been covered many many many times before. The process is the same for all 9x6 series cars (i.e. Boxster, Carrera, GT2, GT3, TT).
  8. There a several option codes which Porsche has never described in any literature. 587 is one of them. It could be something market specific (Australia only) or it could be a 1 year only option. Perhaps some other member(s) can chime in if they know...
  9. What suspension option - they are different. Loren: non air-suspension
  10. Try 4583 or 4581 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  11. Item 5 is the drain plug. Be sure to use a new sealing ring - item 4 (900.123.106.30).
  12. I do not know about Maryland inspections but you would fail in California. It takes several "drive cycles" to clear any pending codes (cleared or not) to reset the emissions test counter. The DME is designed that way to keep people from "cheating" on smog tests.
  13. You should try our search - it works really well... Battery
  14. Try 4891 or 4889 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

  17. Where can I get some prices on the X51 kit? would be interested to get this done at the same time as my exhaust upgrade $12,000 to $14,200 USD MSRP without installation labor.
  18. :welcome: That may depend on the mufflers you are trying to use. MY02 and newer 996's exhaust exits at a slightly different place than the 3.4 liter cars.
  19. With the X51 header a PSE will produce a small HP improvement (less than 20 HP).
  20. Canadian cars have different instrument clusters than US cars. I think you will need to swap them.
  21. P1275 Aging of Oxygen Sensor Ahead of Catalytic Converter (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Below Lower Limit P0139 Aging of Oxygen Sensor After Catalytic Converter (Cylinders 1 - 3) Potential fault cause: - Oxygen sensor P0446 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Function) - Below Lower Limit Potential fault cause: - Purge air line blocked. - Flow resistance of EVAP canister too high.
  22. P0102 says your MAF is open or not connected - start there as it could cause the other faults.
  23. A check engine light means that you have an emissions related problem that could cause poor performance, rough running, or damage to the engine and/or cats (when flashing). A service reminder means that you have gone beyond the mileage to change the oil or some other preventative maintenance is required.
