  1. 997.642.141.10 is not for the BOSE option. 997.642.143.03 is for the BOSE option.
  2. :welcome: The VIN decoder is under the top menu "Documents". The VIN does not contain any option information. Start by looking for the option code sticker on the underside of the front hood. The Option Codes Lookup is under the same Documents menu item at the top.

  5. Chances are it is like the old connectors - something likely needs to slide or push to release the latch.

  7. Sounds like one or more connectors is not all the way plugged in - I would check again.

  13. Yes, you will need the GT3 parts with the shims. They and increased camber will improve handling but make tire wear worse.
  14. If you use the Simple Search or the Advanced Search there is a link to a popup help - it is labeled "Advanced Usage Help". The other important factor in searching is using the most unique keywords - in this case that was easy I just searched for "P1126".

  19. A1 goes to chassis ground all the other wires go to the cluster.
  20. 17 digit VINs did not start until 1981 (and his car is a 1980).
  21. Sleeves from the muffler to cats is most likely then. Pretty easy to loosen and re-center the sleeves.

    As I recall the GT3RS engines are built at Porsche Motorsports - which means the tolerances are tighter and the moving parts are balanced to a tighter standard. My guess is that "stock GT3" does not get that extra balancing that could result in engine damage with a LWFW.
  24. I tried to do a search and got 45 or so pages of things like convertable tops and becker rado problems along with radio code searches. I , personally, was not able to refine the search enough to get any usful info.
