  6. Bank 2 will be on the passenger side of a Carrera (LHD).
  7. Model and year of your car please?
  8. Did you have the battery tested as suggested? I would clear the codes and see which ones come back. Then focus on the engine fault code(s).
  9. :welcome: Was it bleed properly? The proper method is to hold the pedal to the floor and bleed. Then very slowly raise the pedal by hand. If the system is working properly then it should work as normal after the proper bleeding - if not, then you still have a problem.
  10. 1. Using a small screwdriver, carefully unclip both cover lenses at the openings provided. 2. Undo fastening screws. Unclip cover at the rear left and right, push forward towards the windscreen and remove. 3. Disconnect the electrical plug connection of the sliding roof rocker switch and the interior light. Installation is the reverse.
  11. If the light is on then either you have a leak or you have air in the system. Best to get it checked out.
  12. Brakes do not have a CEL - CEL = Check Engine Light. Which brake light went on ? - ABS warning light - Brake fluid level, Brake distribution warning light - Parking brake warning light - Brake pad wear warning light
  13. P0446 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Function) – Below Limit Fault area – Purge air line blocked – Flow resistance of EVAP canister too high The EVAP canister purge valve is very sensitive to contamination. If the lines to the EVAP canister have to be detached, the outside of the canister must be cleaned beforehand. Check purge air line for blockage. Replace the purge if blocked. Otherwise you need a new EVAP canister.
  14. I'm afraid it's hard to find even the owner's manual of 997.1, let alone the shop manual. We have the MY06 and MY07 997-1 Owner's Manual here
  15. Chuck - no the Porsche database was right - the dealer lied to him -- and Scouser's VIN Decoder list the car as 450Hp when it is 420 HP. I have reported the error to Bernie so I am sure he will fix his Decoder.
  16. :welcome: What you are describing is definitely something the dealer (or a dealer) should fix under warranty. ... of course if they offer you a great deal on a new GT3 I'd take it.
  17. If I understand Porsches' recommendation you need to replace ALL coil packs at once. You are correct - but Porsche will only pay for coil packs that "test" bad.
  18. If you buy the vibration dampers you do not need any "goo" - that is what they do. You do not need sensors unless your brake wear light came on. If the light comes on it is because the sensor wire was broken - in that case you need sensors.

  20. PM me your VIN and I will have it looked up on Porsche's database.
  21. Yes, egas started with DME 7.2. A dirty throttle body is even more of a concern on egas cars because the idle is controlled by minutely opening the throttle butterfly. And, if that gets dirty and gummed up you get a bad idle.
  22. P1324 Timing Chain out of Position, Bank 2 - Below Lower Limit P1324 Timing Chain out of Position, Bank 2 - Above Upper Limit - Allocation of outlet camshaft to inlet camshaft not OK. This fault can be stored only if the engine was disassembled and the allocation of the outlet camshaft to the inlet camshaft was incorrectly set. Your timing for the camshafts likely shifted when you did the head gasket. P1539 Camshaft Adjustment, Bank 2 Actuator triggered, no active position. - Open circuit in triggering wire. - Open circuit in B+ supply. - Actuator faulty. This might be related to the P1324 - you need to fix that.
