  1. :welcome: Just squeeze the click and the connector can be unplugged.
  2. I think a couple of folks have successfully swapped just the turn signal switch from the stalk - but it was a lot of trouble. Porsche only sells the complete (with your options) stalk - might be a good time to upgrade to the stalk with the OBC control too. Turning the OBC on is easy with the proper tool.
  3. The control unit was mounted at the front of the old seat. You will need to find the proper power and ground lines to wire up the non-memory seats. Do a search here - a couple of folks have done this.
  4. Read through the posts in this thread - the gray/pink wire is the speedometer connection - disconnecting it will not allow the speed to control the PSE - everything else works as normal.
  5. Sorry, but it is broken and the only fix is to replace the stalk.
  6. The two circuits are very different - I think you will need to remove the seat memory control unit and replace it with the controls from a 997 series car.
  7. Backup camera = backup lights. Get power and ground there.
  8. On the diagram - terminal 31 is ground - brown wire.
  9. Read and write down the faults. Reset the faults and see if they come back. If they do, report the fault code(s) here.
  10. Model year and exact model - and type of seats you now have? What are you trying to do?
  11. Right front: Pull off control module connector. Measure internal resistance/ continuity between PIN 4 and PIN 5 on the connector. Nominal value 1600...1800 ohms If the nominal value is not achieved, check wires and plug connection in the wiring from the front left speed sensor. If the nominal value (1600...1800 ohms) is not achieved and the wiring /plug connection is in order, replace the speed sensor. - Check PIN 4 and PIN 5 of the control module connector (visual inspection for deformation). Do the same for the right rear (Pins 1 and 2). Maybe some corrosion on the connector?
  12. Check out the Painted Rear Center Consoles at Bumperplugs.com
  13. Porsche says 1.5 bar 1.5 bar = 21.7556607 pounds per square inch
  14. Try 7713 or 7711 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  15. Did you get the fronts to work? If so, then how about sharing the information here?
  16. Thanks for the response! I've searched the Porsche manual that I have, and I haven't found a reference to it. On what volume/group and page number have you found it? I've been looking mostly in Group 2 (Fuel, exhaust, engine electronics) -- is it somewhere else? Chris Hmm... looks like it is missing from my (Porsche) Boxster manual too. I found it in the Carrera Service Manual and the procedure is the same (section 20 10 19 Removing and installing fuel tank).
  17. :welcome: It's in the Porsche shop manual and likely in the Bentley Boxster Service Manual
  18. Yes, could have been just air. When I added the 3rd radiator to my car it took about a week of checking and topping up before all the air bled out. Of course you could go to a shop and have them vacuum drain and vacuum refill it for you - for $$$$.
  19. From my experience the bleeder works well and when it doesn't work it is because it leaks. I do not think I have seen an instance where it failed to release too much pressure - besides I think the tank cap is the backup release for way too much pressure. Why are you concerned? Normally the pressure is pretty high in the system.
  20. 1. Yes, it does both. 2. As you described. 3. No, best checked when cold.
  21. 700 RPM +- 40 RPM is normal idle. Chances are your rough idle is a dirty throttle body. DO a search here for threads on cleaning the throttle body.
  22. Fixed the title. Have you checked the sunroof drains? Search "drains"
  23. Porsche says "Use only new DOT4 brake fluid!"
  24. Assuming you have looked for pinched wires or connectors that are broken or not latched then you are pretty much down to the cluster. If you could find a friend with the same type cluster you could try that.
