  1. I'm also doing my research on the parts kit numbers for my 96, which is a 1999 C2 Tiptronic. So far I've found that the ROW M030 kit is 000 044 500 19. But I would like to find out the kit number for X74 for my car. Can anyone tell me the correct X74 kit number for my car? Thanks! Porsche does not recommend X74 for cars older than MY2002. In MY02 Porsche strengthened the chassis for the stiffer sport suspensions. I see. ok, that would definitely make a difference. But is the X74 really much firmer than M030 such that the earlier chassis can't take the increase in suspension stiffness? Yes, that is why Porsche does not recommend it. You won't find X74 part number for your model year car - because X74 was not made for your model year car. You can try another kit - but you are on your own and be aware that unmatched suspension components can cause unusual and strange handling problems (not to mention tire wear).

  3. i guess im slow or something all i want to do is get a code for my radio. i dont know what the end of the faq means or how to do that agin i must be missing somethin here please cdr220 4462 y5034920 "Neither of the suggested numbers worked - what do I do now? My program does not always work. It works maybe 95% of the time but I have no explanation why it doesn't always work. You can try 2 digits different each time (and sometime that works). So if your code is 1013 - then try codes 2 digits different from that code (i.e. 1011, 1009, 1015, 1017. etc.) If that does not work then you will need to contact a dealer or Becker. Becker charges to look up your code and some dealers do too."
  4. Try 7536 or 7534 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  5. Those are RoW M030 part numbers for your model car. That is exactly the RoW kit for a 2000 C2 with Tiptronic. I think your US part numbers are all wrong. My parts list is dated July 1, 2009 - so it is current. Some of the swaybars are the same from US and RoW but almost always the springs, helper springs and struts are different.
  6. As I said it does not make sense to be both too rich and too lean. Have them read with the Durametric software, or a PST2 or a PIWIS tester.
  7. I would start by getting the current fault codes - report those here and we will tell you where to look next. Without the fault codes everything is a guess.
  8. 5 pages of Battery talk...
  9. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Radio code request will only be answered in the thread listed at the end of the FAQ. This topic is closed.
  10. Your O2 sensors are just that "sensors". They are likely fine. Depending on your current fault code(s) you more likely have an air leak or bad MAF.
  11. Are some of these old codes - and others are new codes? It is not very likely that you would have both a too rich and too lean situation at the same time.
  12. Try 2521 or 2519 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST

  15. Sorry.....Its a 1999 996 Carrera. Thanks Yes, it can be turned on in less than 5 minutes. If you are ever over my way (Sacramento - Roseville) I can turn it on for you.
  16. No, the sensors are just wires once they break the connection is broken and the light goes on. Either replace the sensors or jumper the connectors at the wheel so there is always a connection.
  17. Replacing the Gas/Fuel Door Actuator
  18. :welcome: Have you scanned the car for fault codes? When was the last time the fuel filter was changed?
  19. The most common cause of thermostat failures in 9x6 series cars is pieces of the water pump impeller stuck in the thermostat. I have also seen a Boxster that was "overheating" and when we took the water pump off - all the impeller blades were gone (broken off).
  20. It depends... if the cv joint has been exposed for some time you likely will want a new half-shaft. Otherwise you will still have to remove the axle on that side to service either boot.
  21. More likely the window regulator. If it were the switch I doubt the window would drop at all.
  22. Umm... 1900 GBP = 3125 USD. Sounds expensive to me.
  23. Try 5118 or 5116 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
