  1. We have added and/or updated March and April 2009 TSBs in the following categories (58 TSBs total): 986 = 2 987-1 = 7 987-2 = 6 987C = 2 987C2 = 6 996 = 2 997-1 = 5 997-2 - 7 996 GT3 = 2 997 GT3 = 2 996 TT = 2 997 TT - 3 Cayenne - 4 Cayenne gen 2 - 6 All/Other = 2 Of significant note: New approved oils list (2) New crankshaft seal for 987 series Sport exhausts for the 987-2, 987-C2, and 997-2 997-1 instrument cluster noise fixes Clutch not returning fix for 97-1 and 997-1 series Targa roof fix for 2007 997-1 Targa Universal Audio update for MY2009 and newer cars Cayman (987-C2) Aerokit instructions
  2. Try 5599 or 5597 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  3. There is a PDK software update. The US dealers have been very slow bringing it online. Your experience re rolling back on a slope is odd since these cars have hill-assist !? I just picked up a 997.2 PDK Cab. I also noticed hesitation at stop lights. The car was delivered yesterday - how would i know if I received the PDK software update? :welcome: The only way to know for sure is to have the dealer check their records and/or hook the car up to a PIWIS tester and re-program it to make sure.
  4. Yes, more or less. There are different versions for with and without BOSE (M680).
  5. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Radio code request will only be answered in the thread listed at the end of the FAQ. This topic is closed.
  6. Just follow the procedure in the service manual. When you program a key you must have ALL the keys present. There are only 4 key slots available in the immobilizer - so max keys is 4. When you replace a bad key you need the good keys so you know which key code is the bad one to program over. If don't have all the keys present you run the risk of programming over a good key and leaving the bad key program in the immobilizer (wasting a spot or disabling another key).
  7. Sounds like a bad connection in the harness. Or, someone replaced the aerokit harness with the original wing harness.
  8. Correct - the harness should be plug and play.
  9. It's been covered here - please do a search.
  10. Cayenne lug bolts are not the same as the ones used on the sports cars. They are M14 x 1.5 x 51. Porsche part number WHT 001 693 -- US MSRP $3.79 each
  11. Everything they need is described in the 12 page TSB. Perhaps they should have read it before they started - it states that some cars with option equipment will need additional parts (and it lists them). If you want to see the TSB - you need to be a Contributing Member here.
  12. I agree. Totally wrong for a 996 series car. Damage will certainly occur. You will get better (faster) starts by easing the clutch and nailing the throttle when the full contact is there.
  13. No progress. Haven't taken the car in for the test. It's taking me a while to "pucker up" :) Although the beeping and clicking is "driving me up the wall". Just received assessment. Water damage to Alarm Control Unit under driver's seat. Alarm Control Unit needs to be replaced. This was likely caused by clogged drain ( I have noticed moisture on floor behind drivers seat before). I could live without an alarm at this stage however, I'm told that it's not possible to disconnect the alarm system. I read that these units have to be programmed so I suspect it's not likely a DIY job if all you have is a set of metric wrenches (like myself). Also, unless I can find the "key code" I'll need to purchase new keys to remotely lock/unlock the car. Everything you said is true. New alarm, new keys if you can not find the original key codes (because they can't read your old codes from the dead alarm control unit). Sorry.
  14. :welcome: Please do a search - this has been covered before. Sony comes to mind.
  15. :welcome: Do one or the other - not both. What spoiler do you have?
  16. Try 8997 or 8995 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  17. P0302 Misfiring, Cylinder 2 P0304 Misfiring, Cylinder 4 P0300 (Multiple) Misfires Detection (Sum Total) Then MAF would have nothing to do with two cylinders misfiring. O2 sensors are telling you about the problem they are not causing the problem. Check the spark plug connectors and the coil packs on cylinders 2 and 4 - chances are the connector is not on all the way or the coil packs are over torqued and cracked.
  18. Have them try the re-flash first and see that improves the shifting.
  19. There are several types. One hole or two hole? Smoker or non-smoker version? Most are about $34.06 MSRP. Sunset Porsche (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) is the best online source - link at the top right of any page. It looks like there are 2 openings, one for the cigarette lighter on the right and nothing on the left. Do I remove this cover by unscrewing the the screws on the upper left and right corners as in the picture? Looks like it would be 966.552.160.01.5Z1 Connector cover (2 hole) -- US MSRP $34.06 Looks like two screws hold it in place.
  20. This is a different radio than the one you requested in Feb 2009? Yes Sir. I have purchased 2 used radios, this one already in hand, another one coming soon (don't have serial yet). These are purchased from EBAY, I can point to the auction if you would like. They are for 2 buddies of mine. Klaus Try 1491 or 1489
  21. You will need to remove the inside read hatch lining to get access to the two screws that hold the mechanism in place. Then disconnect the electrical connector (by pressing the tab to release it). Then pry the black plastic piece out from the outside. Install is pretty the reverse procedure. Check with the folks at Sunset Imports - then Cayenne diagram is very confusing and I want you to get the right part.
  22. Are they following the instructions in Porsche's TSB?
  23. Left front fender (LHD cars) up behind the wheel well liner.
