  1. Try 2792 or 2790 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  2. Just keep the brake fluid off any painted areas - it will damage paint.
  3. Did you try replacing the battery in the remote?
  4. :welcome: 1. If you were on wet roads driving vigorously then some wheel slip is expected. PSM and ABS lights can be caused by a bad brake light switch or bad MAF. But when one of those happens they usually stay on. 2. Probably not. It would be best to have the battery tested for both load and specific gravity of each cell. Batteries sometimes do go bad. Best check for some other current draw on the battery when the ignition is off. Normally it should be in the 40-60 ma range with the car off. 3. Not usually - but you will need a PST2 or PIWIS to reset the Tiptronic - so they should dod a full car scan while they are doing that.
  5. Was it the right Bosch part? There are 3 or 4 different MAFs - and your MY98 Boxster should only use 996.606;123.00 - or the exact Bosch equivalent.
  6. One beep means you have a zone open. Check the center console lid - that is the most common.
  7. The alarm horn is separate from the vehicle horns. The alarm horn is next to the battery and the vehicle horns are behind the front bumper. Chances are one of the vehicle horns is bad. My would replace both or put in an air horn like I did. :D
  8. I use a 30cc syringe with aquarium tubing on the end.
  9. Sorry, as stated here before that manual copy is woefully out of date and lacking numerous supplement updates. Use at your own risk.

  16. If the clutch pedal feels hard chances are the clutch disk is worn down to the rivets. You can try bleeding but if that does not help you will likely need a new clutch.
  17. You will need a proper scan tool to find the fault code(s). Check engine light is for emissions related problems. Sounds like a bad switch or the front electronics controller is bad - they should check that with a PIWIS tester also.
  18. Try Bruce Anderson's books or one of the other PCA experts.
  19. Try 3030 or 3028 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  20. What does the fluid smell like? Also, does it feel greasy?
  21. I do not know of any options from Porsche other than a new (expensive) handbrake. You might try an upholstery shop.
