  1. You need to use the Durametric software, a PST2 or PIWIS tester to see all of the faults you can not see with your after market scanner. You likely have a fault in the alarm/central locking control unit - and only those three testers can see those faults.
  2. Should be on the Vehicle Maintenance Book tag, under the front trunk lid tag and on the older cars it was behind the carpet liner in the front trunk - left side near the headlight adjusters. Slate Gray Metallic should be 22D
  3. Try 2904 or 2902 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  4. Thanks a friend suggested the oil separator do you know a quick test. He suggested taking the oil cap and checking for suction I did and it suck my palm very strong like a vacum cleaner This is a Cayenne not a 9x6 series car.
  5. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Thanks for the help 2000 Boxster 2.7 Model CDR-220 type 4462 serial Y5040529 Thanks Dave Try 0137 or 0135
  6. Loren, Thanks that chart helps a lot. It's nice to fine someone with good info on a forum. Some forums I have read seem to be off the wall if you know what I mean. Thaks again! Mark pchassis Loren, Could you advise where to measure from in order to attain teh ride height value from the specs? Thanks! It is the last paragraph on the specs list above.
  7. My question was mostly about what exact offset, backspace should 18x11 rim have in order to fit properly into regular 997 C2 car? It is not as clear as I expected that to be, couple places i called could not answer that for me. Everybody seems to know sizes for 19" rims but not for 18". As I said it is clearly stated in the TSB. Contributing Members here have view access to all the Porsche TSBs. According to the TSB - Porsche does not approve a 18 x 11 wheel for the 997-1. In 18" wheels only 18 x 10 is approved.
  8. P1275 Signal Delay Time for Oxygen Sensor Aging, Bank 1 – Above/Below Limit P1276 Signal Delay Time for Oxygen Sensor Aging, Bank 2 – Above/Below Limit Possible causes: – Oxygen sensor ahead of TWC – Leak ahead of TWC or in the area of the oxygen sensor after TWC – Wiring (oxygen sensors exchanged) From my experience if the car has more than 60,000 miles these sensors are likely shot. These would be each sensor per engine BEFORE the cats.

  11. Sorry, without the fault codes everything is guess.
  12. Just tried this on my 997-1 and I hear it but not loud enough to bother me. is the gearbox the same on a manual 997-1 VS 997-2 ? 997-1 is a Tiptronic -- 997-2 is PDK. Very different beasts.
  13. 1. Check the TSB on pinched vent tubing. 2. That will be a challenge - you will need to matchup wires and likely redo the connectors. 3. Try member Porschelibraian. 4. Sorry, no auto adjust for aftermarket - it is only on factory installs. 5. Please do a Search this has been covered many times. 6. Sorry, a Cab guy will have to help you on this one.
  14. Thanks Loren, your always the 1st to respond. I don't have an owners manual, the previous owner misplaced it. Do you know anything about a 30000k bulb going in these headlights? Just watch the heat level - the housing and front cover are just plastic.
  15. Did you see that in your Owners Manual? It should say H7, 55W
  16. If you have checked the fuses - then the ignition switch is highly suspect.
  17. Yes, but check the inlet tappets for damage. If the valve lift is off far enough it may damage inlet tappets.
  18. Voltage should be between between 13.80 Volts and 14.50 Volts at idle.
  19. ... or bad pulley or idler pulley.
  20. Very good point!
  21. Sorry, not if that part is not in the diagram.
  22. In most case you will get a CEl if the mixture is too rich. You can check the throttle body for oil if you suspect the AOS.
  23. Initial: 19 ftlb. Final: + 120 degrees torque angle
  24. Nope, there is no protective shield for the transmission.
  25. 1. Yes, possibly. It would be best to measure the voltage at the battery with the engine running. 2. Probably not - batteries are consumables.
