  1. Sorry, first part number must be wrong as it does not come up on any of my lists. The second one (996.641.103.01.70c) was replaced by 996.641.103.02.70c and then 996.641.103.03.70c -- so it will work but it is likely from 1998.
  2. Did you see the DIY here?
  3. Give our search a try ;) Coolant flush with vacuum fill tool
  4. You have a 986 - please post in that section (I will move this post and your last one there).
  5. Sorry, but you need to fix the problem and then have the airbag reset. If you order the buckles and do the under seat soldering you can save a bunch of money. Many folks here have done it (try our search). Whenever you remove the steering wheel or either seat you should always disconnect the battery first AND keep the key out of the ignition. When the key is in the ignition (even off) the airbag circuit is armed.
  6. For the 3rd time - please --- Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST This topic is closed
  7. From your description the KESSY control is working. As RFM said they need to program both keys correctly.
  8. They are different for each model. You will need the DME OBD II service manual for each.
  9. Model and year of your car please?
  10. Have your dealer/OPC check the PDK with their PIWIS tester for fault codes.
  11. Fault code 0907 Load management operation on vehicle electrical system/DME control module Possible causes of fault: - 'no display' Loads are/were switched off temporarily. The load management operation was enabled because of undervoltage. Most common cause of this is a bad battery.
  12. US or RoW car please?
  13. :welcome: Please do a search here as this has been covered.

  15. This is just one of many threads on P1123... http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3834
  16. Try 0760 or 0758 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  17. Ask them to print out the waveform for the before cat and after cat O2 sensors - for each bank of the engine. I do not think you have a bad cat with that fault code. P1123 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation Area 1 (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Lean Threshold This means your mixture on cylinders 1, 2 and 3 is too rich and the DME can make the mixture lean enough (to meet emissions). Possible causes are: - Fuel pressure too high. - Fuel injector leaking. - EVAP canister purge valve open. In most cases that I have seen this is a bad or stuck purge valve. If you do not feel comfortable working on the car yourself then I suggest finding another Porsche shop and ask them for their diagnosis.
  18. :welcome: Mystery Connector
  19. Try 5571 or 5569 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  20. There are stories of the power steering hose fitting breaking and spraying Pentosin on the hot exhaust starting a fire. There a fellow on Rennlist about a year ago that had that happen to his Speed Yellow 996TT. The pictures were not pretty.
  21. Model and year of your car please?
  22. Porsche connectors are almost always keyed and will only fit one place. Sorry, all I have is those schematics - I don't have a PCM 3 to look at right now.
  23. If he is in the UK and car is registered in the year 1996 then they (the UK) considers the car 1996 - as opposed to model year 1997. At least that is my understanding...
  24. Yes, re-check all the coil pack electrical connectors. Usually there is an audible click when they are all the way in. Also, look for cracked coil packs - as they age I think the plastic cracks easier.
