  1. Sorry, you will need a PIWIS and and ATF charging unit to top up the Tiptronic.
  2. Thanks RFM for taking the time to respond. Where would the dust bellows be? Steering rack? Yes, he is referring to the steering rack. You will likely need to remove the plastic belly pan to see - though you might be able to shine a light in from the wheel side.
  3. :welcome: Your car likely came with a CDR-23.
  4. I have the older similar cover except the bag is separate - and it did come with a cable and lock.
  5. Thank you but do you have permission to re-publish this copyrighted content? If not, we will have to remove it.
  6. Well, they might be related. Basically the alarm system goes into power save mode after 5 days of no activity (see your owners manual). After that you need to re-initialize the remotes by locking and unlocking the doors with the metal key to reset the alarm to "normal" operation. If the door lock releases work with the remote then the trunk should work too. I would be more apt to think the remote might have a worn out button on the trunk switch. Do you have a second remote and does it work with the trunk?
  7. Standard brakes on the Cayenne S were 350 mm front and 330 mm rear. If you have optional brakes they should be noted on your option list.
  8. Should go to the tank venting valve.
  9. Um... are these P-codes . I do not see P1162 and P1164?
  10. Where is the connector - engine compartment or right front fender? Are those wire colors Violet and Red with blue stripe or?
  11. I would replace the batteries in both remotes. Then lock and unlock the doors using the metal key. Then tey to use the remotes again.
  12. Does that battery have a vent connection (to vent the battery acid vapors outside the car)?
  13. Sometimes the pins push out of the connector when you slide the headlight in - so I would check that too. Any good electronic contact cleaner will work fine - just keep it off your paint.
  14. A good number of folks like the B&M Short Shifter. I have one on my car. The B&M is neither taller or shorter than the standard shifter.
  15. Porsche's tools to fix rattles include Teflon tape and felt backed tape. They simply apply it unseen places that are the squeak or rattle sources.
  16. If you disconnect them then the light will stay on. If you choose to not use the pad wear sensors then use plain wire between the connectors.
  17. Try 4258 or 4256 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  18. If you do a search you will find that the stalk has a broken piece internally. The only fix to replace the entire stalk assembly.
  19. Have a look at this TSB http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?a...nload&id=15
  20. A low battery has been know to cause lots of odd problems in Cayennes. If it is more than 3 or 4 years old I would replace it first and see if the problem goes away. Here is the controllers locations:
  21. How about a picture or two. This sounds very different than covers I have seen.
  22. Unless there has been some physical damage to the antenna area - then all of those point to a faulty control unit.
