  1. :welcome: Please state the exact model and year of your car.
  2. Try 2728 or 2726 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  3. Sorry, but not too uncommon. I lost a set of Porsche logo tire stem caps at the Palo Alto Concours... You would think you are safe a primarily Porsche event.
  4. Try 1464 or 1462 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  5. Get the fault codes read first. Most probably causes are bad coil packs or wrong/loose spark plugs.
  6. :welcome: I would check the oil pressure relief valve.
  7. Not usually but if your battery is old it could be the problem - we have seen very odd things happen on Cayennes' when the battery is weak.
  8. Fault code 1333 Rear left door control unit Possible causes of fault - Rear left door control unit faulty - No signal/communication (no signal from rear left door control unit on CAN comfort) - Rear left door control unit does not function (Upper voltage value of vehicle battery exceeded) - Rear left door control unit does not function (Lower voltage value of vehicle battery not reached) Check first that the affected pins on the rear left door control unit plug connection are neither damaged nor corroded.
  9. "Can the DMF be twisted by approx. 15 mm to both the left and the right, and does it then return to approximately its initial position?" -- then the flywheel is good. "Can the DMF be twisted beyond the dimension stated above (excessive turn) without a noticeable increase in the spring force?" or "Is the DMF fixed (can not be twisted)?" -- then the flywheel is bad.
  10. Try 9529 or 9527 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  11. :welcome: Depending on where you live you may have to clean them yearly (cold/wet climates). If you live where it is mostly dry then it could be 3-4 years. All TSBs are available here to our Contributing Members. Just click on any Donate link or button to become a Contributing Member.
  12. Sorry to resurrect this old thread. Do you guys know if this is really plug & play? I have an '08 987s w/heated seats that I factory ordered. My only regret is not getting climate control. Any guess as to the cost of the control unit? Thanks all, Scott. Part Number change -- For 987's MY08 on it is: 997.653.113.14.FMH MSRP $669.78 Wow, that was fast. Thanks Loren! Any guess as to whether or not it's plug & play? I'm hoping there isn't a different harness, or some fact-intalled-temp-sensor up in the dash that I'm missing. Thanks again, Scott. Even if it is plug 'n play you might also need a PIWIS to turn the functions on and set country codes. Not sure though - never tried it.

  14. I have the same situation...steering wheel slightly off. Micheal Steed in Walnut Creek wants to charge 400 dollars...they say 4 wheel re-alignment which is crazy because the vehicle drives fine. I cannot believe how this dealer manages to stay in business with all the bad advice...I wonder if people with 50k+ cars just nod their head and pay 400 bucks? Fred Go to Custom Alignment in Mountain View - last time I was there it was less than half the cost you got quoted. CA are top notch and do most of the race cars in the bay area. David usually works on Porsches.
  15. Yes, if you see the (default OBC setting) outside temperature - then OBDC is on.
  16. Both Tool Pants and I have one. Tool Pants is in San Jose and I am in Roseville (near Sacramento).
  17. Please re-read the board Guidelines/Rules "· Please keep your posts on topic - Porsche's and Porsche related technical discussions - period. Non-Porsche related content will be removed." Thanks.
  18. I would check the for fault codes and also find a tool that you can check the MAF with (i.e. Durametric, PST2, or PIWIS tester).
  19. The purge fan is controlled by the DME so it is possible that the re-flash caused the problem.
  20. They are vibration dampers and Porsche recommends they stay in place and are replaced when replacing pads.
  21.
  22. 1. No, it is either on or off. 2. It is rare for the engine purge fan to come on at all. Have you checked the car for OBD II fault codes? Many times a faulty sensor (or wiring) will cause a P1675 fault code. Check the relay also - relay 8 on the DME/Relay panel behind the carpet - behind the rear seats. Relay 8 will be second row second relay in from the left (996.615.102.00 - same as the rear spoiler relays). If you are not the first owner perhaps the previous owners jumpered the sensor?
  23. :welcome: Please post all of your fault codes - just so we caqn be sure what we are chasing. Yes, one cylinder only usually means check the electrical connector, the coil pack (swap with another cylinder and see if it follow the coil pack), and spark plug (same test). I have removed your second post ont eh same subject - please do not double post or cross-post.
  24. Please read the FAQ - we can only help with CR and CDR series Becker?Porsche radios. My radio is OEM and came in the 996 I think the Porsche Model is CDR220 Is this any help with code. Thanks Paul Ok try 4527 or 4525 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  25. Sorry - Please read the FAQ.
