  1. Model and year of your car please? and left or right cover?
  2. Did you check the spark plugs?
  3. Try 0550 or 0548 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  4. They are all the same size. 999.073.125.02 Oval head screw M5 x 14 -- US MSRP $0.81 each
  5. :welcome: If the water pump was recently replaced then it is likely they didn't get all the air out of the system. It will self bleed the air out but you should top up (to the Max mark) every few days until it stops dropping.
  6. :welcome: Your problem is only on two cylinders - so it is highly unlikely that it is a MAF prblem. Look for cracked coil packs or poor connections on those two cylinder. Since you changed spark plugs recently then check the plugs for tightness and damage.
  7. Try 1417 or 1415 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  8. Try 1705 or 1703 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  9. On the old air cooled cars Purolator made the special filters. On the water cooled Porsche there are several suppliers to Porsche including Mann and Mahle. More on oil filters here
  10. There are no "aftermarket" repair/service manuals. There are the Porsche factory workshop manuals, OBDII manuals but Porsche has not printed them in about 5 years. If you want service manuals, part information and more send me an email or PM and can help you. I have attached a small sample for you to check out. I would like to get the repair/service manuals as well.....could you let me know what I need to do to get them? Thanks-- Folks you need to send a PM (Personal Message) to Porschelibrarian -- not post here.
  11. 996.613.631.01 Headlight unit -- US MSRP $39.44
  12. Try twisting as you pull - still be careful.
  13. 986.563.721.00 Clip -- US MSRP $2.03 each As I recall there are 4 per side - so a total of 8 clips.
  14. Lift up the cover strip at one end using a plastic spatula and pull it off. The roof strip clips are destroyed when they are removed so you will need new onnes..
  15. If it only happens when the headlights are on it is likely a bad headlight switch - otherwise it could be a bad ignition switch. Both wear out and cause unusual problems.
  16. Try 6638 or 6636 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  17. :welcome: Only when the headlights are on? or does it happen anytime?
  18. I would use factory latest parts since these have been problematic. Order 948.602.104.05 US MSRP $19.54 each. These are the latest parts from Porsche. I would order from Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) for much better pricing and great service for RennTech.org members.
  19. The TSB says it is free to those under warranty. All you can do is ask them. If not, as I said it is not that hard to replace them yourself. The coil packs themselves are only about $20 each (MSRP) so even cheaper from Sunset Imports.
  20. P0356 Bar ignition module on cylinder 6 P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected P0300 Misfire detection - checksum error Multiple misfires - most likely the ignition coil packs. A common TSB noted issue. Have them replace them all with the latest version - or save some money and do it yourself.
  21. :welcome: Not likely a short but worn horn bushings. See the post here
  22. Try 6924 or 6922 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST Thanks but they didn't work, I also tried 6920 & 6926. Any other codes I could try? PLEASE read the FAQ.
  23. The pending faults pointed to the 02 sensors. I should've asked to have the throttle body cleaned, if i knew how to say it in mandarin! will have to look at the faq for that sometime Sorry, O2 sensors are after the fact - what are the pending fault codes?
  24. This will work How to change your spark plugs
  25. Do the normal (all dash lights) turn on when you turn the key? If not, it is likely a bad ignition switch.
