  1. That is because you do not have one. Porsche went to eGas starting in MY2000 C2 and MY1999 on C4. If you are having idle problems you need to to the throttle body cleaning procedure that has been discussed here many times. Do a search for throttle+body
  2. eGas started in MY2000 - on for the C2 and MY1999 - on for the C4 So yes, a MY01 would have eGas or electronic throttle.
  3. Please post this in the proper thread. Please read this and follow the instructions... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I will only answer radio code requests in the one thread linked at the end of the FAQ. This thread is now closed.
  4. Porsche shows 170 TU (100 TU = 1 hour). According to the Porsche Maintenance Checklists for your (RoW) car - ATF change is at 160,000 Km (or 96,000 miles). Tiptronic Transmission Service - DIY Tutorial
  5. :welcome: Sounds normal to me.
  6. Never found a rotor yet that I could not remove with a rubber mallet and a couple sharp raps.
  7. If you want the PSE always on then don't bother to install anything. The vacuum and electronics are only used to make the system quiet. The vacuum is used to close the bypass valve in each muffler - so without it the muffler are always louder.
  8. They are easily cracked by over-tightening. There is nothing to reset - you likely have misfires - please check the fault codes.
  9. Coils are correct - so check that they are not cracked and that the electrical connector is firmly snapped in place. Correct plugs are FGR 6 KQE. I still think you need to check for misfire fault codes to find exactly where the problem is.
  10. Pittsburgh, PA - can some other members can suggest shops near him?
  11. I suggest you get another opinion from a well known Porsche alignment shop.

  13. You did install Porsche parts right? Give us the part numbers and we'll double check them. Check it with a fault code scanner to see which cylinders are misfiring. Could be cracked coils (overtightened) or loose connections or wrong spark plugs.
  14. Those fault codes have nothing to do with the MAF. P0133 Signal Period for Oxygen Sensor Ageing, Bank 1 – Above/Below Limit P0153 Signal Period for Oxygen Sensor Ageing, Bank 2 – Above/Below Limit Possible causes: – Oxygen sensor ahead of TWC – Wiring (oxygen sensors exchanged)
  15. If your car did not have DSP (M680) then that line will not be connected. Here is the correct schematic for your car. Radio_DSP_ from 996turbo_wiring_2001.pdf
  16. 996.552.228.05.A03 Right side vent - US MSRP $138.49
  17. Sorry, the 996TT did not come out until MY01. So there can't be schematics from 99-00.
  18. If the code works, what happens? Does the radio work right away? I tried both codes and it doesn't seem to have worked. Even got the "wait" code and had to wait an hour. Tried the codes again and keep getting prompted to enter again. How many times should you enter the code? Thanks for the help. PLEASE - read the FAQ. Follow the instructions in the FAQ. Still didn't work. I called the dealer and obtained a code from them as well. Still didn't work. Seems if no codes work on the radio, then the radio itself, per the dealer, is defective. So, looks like I need to replace my CDR 220. Thanks for the previous help and posting of the FAQ. Did you get the serial number through the radio display? Many times a tech changes out a radio and forget to change the code ID card too.
  19. Please do a search - this has been covered many times here and in a TSB.
  20. Use the turbo schematics - there are slight differences.
  21. I would clear those codes and see which (if any) come back after you fix your idle control valve.
  22. :welcome: The MAF is not even used during idle. You can disconnect it and it will not affect the idle. The MAF comes into play at higher RPMs. Chances are your Idle Control Valve is stuck closed or the solenoid has failed. Do a search here and tip on cleaning the valve and testing it.
