  1. Most Porsche dealers/OPC shops have a connector box - this is usually out in the shop. If you talk real nice to one of the techs (or maybe buy him lunch) he can go to that box and get you exactly what you need. Porsche does not sell many of the connectors - they sell the harness pieces (more profit, fewer parts or problems I guess). As I recall the connect parts in those boxes are supplied by a separate company that specializes in parts.
  2. The one in front of the wheel is item 4.
  3. you must have small hands (smaller than mine)!
  4. Sorry - here is the evaporator (item 5) Item 9 is the expansion valve
  5. That does not look like what I need replaced. The pictured item for the part number listed looks like it is underneath the front hood. I'm looking for the piece between the hood and windshield directly under the wipers. Item 5 is that piece - it has the windshield washer nozzles in it too?
  6. You are going to need to check the fault codes - no other way to know for sure what the cause is.
  7. In the US they are not supposed to give you your IPAS codes unless you have written proof of ownership.
  8. If the revs are going up without you moving the throttle then it is likely the transmission is slipping. Slipping can be caused by low fluid level or a problem with the transmission.
  9. As I have posted before the 996 Boxster and Carrera use a completely different engine than the GT3. The GT3 and Turbo share the same base engine.
  10. Try 4305 or 4303 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST no dice tried those codes 4305 and 4303 any others thank you PLEASE READ THE FAQ.
  11. I think you are confusing the emissions secondary air pump that comes on and stays on when you start the car. This usually stays on 2 -5 minutes depending on outside air temperature and how long it takes to get the engine up to temperature for proper emissions control. The cooling purge engine fan only comes on when the temperature in the engine compartment exceeds a set level. This is actually not very often - unless the engine compartment sensor has fallen (or been knocked) out of it's golder and it laying on the engine
  12. Lights, hood lock, horns, etc. So I would drive in daylight.
  13. Those front end controllers in the early cars are known to die on there own or require reprogramming.
  14. Please read the FAQ on how to read the serial number of your radio. Then, post that number in the Lost Radio Code thread and I will look up the best guesses. This topic is closed.
  15. Yes, there are 3 on each radiator. 999.702.214.40 Rubber grommet -- US MSRO $2.10 each
  16. Try 4305 or 4303 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  17. Best check the fluid level and put either a PST2 or PIWIS on the car and read the faults.
  18. Search is your friend (you need a new harness) Spoiler light always on - after fixed wing install
  19. WKD 997 521 07 Operators Manual 997 GT3 RS MY2007 -- US MSRP $21.37
  20. Try 5121 or 5119 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  21. 996.572.563.06.01C Cowel panel covering (black) -- US MSRP $59.34 you will also need : 996.672.931.00 Gasket -- US MSRP $10.32
  22. Yes, there are two versions of the Turbo I and Turbo II wheels. The standard wheels on the Turbo were hollow spokes and weighed less than the solid wheels that were standard on the C4S. Turbo wheels were about 5 pounds lighter (per wheel) on average.
  23. You bought a third party warranty - Porsche does not sell warranties (at least in California). Check the name on the warranty.
