  1. Try 6764 or 6762 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  2. P0134 Oxygen Sensor Ahead of TWC, Bank 1 – Interruption of Signal Possible causes: – Wiring harness – Oxygen sensor – DME control module P1115 Oxygen Sensor Heating Ahead of TWC, Bank 1 – Above Limit P1115 Oxygen Sensor Heating Ahead of TWC, Bank 1 – Below Limit P1115 Oxygen Sensor Heating Ahead of TWC, Bank 1 – Open Circuit P1115 Oxygen Sensor Heating Ahead of TWC, Bank 1 – Signal Implausible Possible causes: – Heating resistance too low – Short to B+ – Short to ground – Corrosion in connector – Break in wiring except for a few small wires – Break in wiring – Heating resistance too great – Open circuit in sensor line – Oxygen sensor If this started with the Softronic flash - then I would reverse that clear the codes and see if they come back.
  3. What error codes? You need to tell all the fault codes you have.
  4. Give it a few drives cycles. If it does not go off on it's own within a week then get a (good) code reader.

  6. With the fan off - reach in through the pollen filter opening in the front trunk area. Likely either debris or foam.
  7. Yes there are model year 2005 996's and model year 2005 997's. At 2005 introduction the 997 Carrera introduced only the new C2 and C2S - the rest of the widebody line and Targa came later.
  8. If you see no leaks I would leave them alone. (JMHO)
  9. Do a search here "what oil to use" has been covered ad nauseam...
  10. Hi Loren, did you notice a difference in oil pressure when tracking after installing the turbo cooler? is there even a way to tell oil temp in our 99 996 c2? Um... we are talking 74-77 911's in this thread not 996 series. If you are asking about the turbo oil cooler on my MY76 911S - it made a huge difference. Maybe 50 degrees. Most of my track time in those days was Texas World Speedway and it gets pretty hot there. Only other thing I did to reduce heat on that car was to get rid of the cat and replace it with a straight pipe. Back in those days there were little or no penalties for removing emissions stuff.
  11. Loren, I was fiddling around the switch today and found out it works... I have to angle the switch to a slight tilt position and then move it forward. It is a hit and miss as I have to fiddle around with it until it contacts. It seems the switch contact is bad. Is the switch servicable? Ron Porsche seems to only sell the whole switch assembly (almost $500 MSRP). So you might check salvage yards or electrical parts shops for matching parts.
  12. I would not risk damage by trying a boost start - too much potential damage including an exploding battery. I would remove and replace the battery where it is. You will want an 80AH battery of the same size and post layout. Also a good idea to inspect the battery support (mounting) at that time.
  13. Well - the charcoal canister, fuel filler, sensors etc. are in the front right fender. So perhaps the is where the collision was? If so, then that may be the damaged radiator fan too.
  14. In case you need to lower the engine to get the tank out.
  15. It appears you have a number of electrical problems - was the car in an accident? or had some other damage? I would sort the problems with the fuel tank pressure sensor - it could be the root cause. Also, the radiator cooling fans need to be checked to prevent overheating.
  16. If you have a good jack, the right tools and a little patience - it is not very hard.
  17. Please do a search as this has been covered in detail several times.
  18. Replacing the Coolant Reservoir on a MY99 996
  19. Yes, the coolant tank cracking is (unfortunately) a common problem. I would use SS screw type hose clamps - much better than the spring type (IMHO).
  20. Could be a bad sender too. Cap part number is: 996.106.447.03 US MSRP $21.05
  21. I do not know the laws in the Philippines - but in the US they can not deny your warranty as long as you have records that "somebody" did the service.
  22. Hello i have a 2006 carrera GT with a broken front left radiator and would like to replace it. I am interested in your workshop manual. How can i obtain a copy of this ? my email is raes.racing@pandora.be Many thankx Send a PM to Porschelibrarian.

(DTC 96) P0447 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Output Stage) - Open Circuit P0448 EVAP Canister Shutoff Valve (Output Stage) - Short to B+/Short to Ground Possible causes: - Wiring harness - Shutoff valve - DME control module - Wiring harness - DME control module P1673 Fan Output Stage - Open Circuit One of the radiator cooling fans is not operating. Possible causes: - Break in wiring. - Relay faulty. - DME control module faulty. - Short circuit to ground. - Short circuit to B+.
  24. :welcome: P2632 Fuel Pump Relay 1 Output Stage - Open Circuit / Below Limit / Above Limit Possible cause of fault - Fuse FE13 faulty - Fuel pump primary relay faulty - Open circuit - Short circuit to B+ - Short circuit to ground - Vehicle electrical system control module faulty - DME control module faulty P0700 CE Light on Due to Transmission Fault - (Signal Implausible)) Possible fault cause - Fault memory entry in Tiptronic control module due to transmission fault You are likely going to need a PIWIS tester to read the Tiptronic fault(s) and reset the Tiptronic controller.
