  1. Try 4157 or 4155 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  2. Yes, time to read the voltage on the MAF at idle and 3000 RPM.

:welcome: Have you checked the grounds - especially engine/transmission to chassis?
  5. Porsche uses BMC race filters in their race cars. But remember race car engines are rebuilt every after 50 hours of operation.
  6. Removing and installing air cleaner element 1. Unscrew the eight fastening screws on the air cleaner housing 1. 2. Remove the air cleaner element from the housing shell. 3.Clean the inside of the air cleaner housing shells with a clean lint−free cloth, which has been soaked in solvent naphtha, and then dry it off. Note: The air cleaner housing should not be cleaned on the outside with strong cleaning agents. 4. If the air cleaner housing shells are dirty on the outside, clean only with a damp cloth and some washing−up liquid. Installing air cleaner element Reverse of removal
  7. Covers the seat frame and control box.
  8. Pressure plate (tighten in several stages and in diametrically opposite sequence.) = 17 ftlbs. Dual Mass Flywheel = 19 ftlb. plus 120 degree final tightening angle.
  9. Sounds like it needs to be re-coded to the car. The procedure is in TSB 5/02 9110 Activating the CD Radio Porsche CDR 23. If that process does not work then there is likely a fault with the radio.

  11. If the order type is set then you should be able to change it. I have done this on a dozen or so cars.
  12. thanks! is there any way to factory reset the pcm without bringing it to the dealer? because i live very far away from a porsche dealer... thanks No - it is the rest of the MOST controllers in the car that need to be aware of a new module in the system. Once you are setup for NAV it should not need to be reset even if you change the NAV to a different unit. There are a few independent shops that have PIWIS testers - but if you can not find one you will no choice. thanks alot , i managed to install it , but still no buttons are working except the volume button... i been to porsche and they did get rid of the errors messages but still no buttons... may i please have the Cayenne Porsche Communication Management 2 (PCM2) Installation Instructions ? Please http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?/files/category/10-pcm/
  13. Do you have the right part number? It should be 948.606.140.00 sender and 948.606.240.00 o-ring
  14. Thanks guys, just for the record, the interior sensor is working perfectly, I set the alarm while sitting in the car and it becomes active after the alarm flashes much slower. Also, the radio was checked over by Becker and it was not faulty and returned with new knobs atleast. I hooked up my durametric and reset all my codes, it cleared up all except the alarm code area. I tried once again (have beta vers 6.0) to activate the OBC and no go, says it can't communicate with the cluster? I heard some others had issues with 03 or 04 models. When I open the door of the car the instrument cluster lights up and my radio attempts to turn on and flashes porsche and makes motor sounds like its trying to load a CD. It also displays this behavior when the car is running. Only choice is take fuse out or fix it. When I tried to add the connectors at the back of the radio one at a time, it is the larger black connector that houses the power and must be receiving intermittant power signals because the unit keeps trying to turn on and off it seems. Very frutstrating because I have the highend bose Digital amp system and don't know what it sounds like yet! Bruce Check your DME to see if the orderl type is set. Many 2003 and 2004 cars came from the factory without this set - and you can not program or change the programs without it being properly set. This is for a 996 - but you get the idea.
  15. From the 996 Carrera Introduction Service Book: "Fuel & Ignition System - Fuel Pump - Safety Functions When the engine has been started, the airbag control unit sends a signal to the DME control unit, the frequency and pulse duty factor of which is defined as "airbag not triggered". When the airbag is triggered, the pulse duty factor changes this signal. This change causes the DME control unit to switch off the fuel pump." They also sold an Emergency Shut-off Switch for the GT3 RS (intended for racing) that compketly disconnects the battery with one flip of the switch. So this shuts everything down. It is required for most professional and amateur racing organizations.
  16. If you want to be certain have the fault codes read. There are several hundred things that can turn on CEL so only the fault codes tell you for sure.
  17. Try 0929 or 0927 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  18. That could likely be done if you can find one in salvage yard car.
  19. I would get a new battery. You could always take it out and take it a parts store and have it load tested and the specific gravity of each cell tested - but I think in the end you will need anew battery.
  20. :welcome: The original Cayenne 2003-2006 is model 9PA (aka 955). The 2nd generation Cayenne 2007-2010 is model 9PA1 (aka 957). And, the 3rd generation Cayenne 2011 on is model 92A (aka 958).
  21. Try 7593 or 7591 Hi Loren, only for stats, codes didn't work,10 codes up and 10 down like faq says,I will go to dealer. thanks anyway How did you get the serial number by the method in the FAQ? or from some other document? it is on sticker on the radio, but others are damadged.will try again tommorow with buttons for number.but I_did try few times before.thx Hi,I did get the serial number from radio now-it's the same like that one on radio, and was able to get model nr. R2595 just in case for other code. thx Sorry, I think you will need to talk to a dealer or Becker.
  22. I think RFM has already given you an honest and straight forward answer. Even if you got 12 HP - it would hardly be noticeable.
  23. P1602 Voltage Supply. Are you sure your battery is good and when the car is running you are over 14 volts. Clear the codes and if the P1602 comes back again you have a battery or charging problem. (you may also still have a cam or chain problem).
  24. Fault codes - fault codes - fault codes... everything is a guess without them.
