  1. Should be 8 screws around the outer cover (item 3) and the two grommets to hold things in place.
  2. From the parts list all the 958 wheels have 958 part numbers. The offsets look similar but not quite the same. I would ask you dealer 'why'...
  3. As you face the front of the car it would be to the right of the battery. Yes, likely the battery cover and side cover for good access.
  4. Model and year? If this is a 997-1 it is next to the battery.
  5. Should be the same process as the PCM system. Setting the language 1. Press the Info button. 2. Press the Option button or touch the tab of the same name in the header. 3. Select "SET PCM system" > "Regional settings" > "Language". 4. Select the desired language.
  6. The MAF sensor does not pull off. Does one have to pinch in the little winglets on its sides or push outwards on them to get it to release? Thanks for your help. Yes, if your connector has the tabs on the side squeeze them to remove the connector. There was more than one type of connector used for the MAF sensor.
  7. Completely different. Best to get the 996TT Service Manual.
  8. Try 4838 or 4836 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  9. Are you sure your front radiators are just dirty/plugged with debris? I won't say it is not the thermostat but I would check the front radiators for debris and make sure the front fans are working first.
  10. Well I would wait until the car is cool then reach in by rear lid and pull on the cable to see if came loose (at one end) or if is actually broken.
  11. Try 6512 or 6510 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  12. Try 5238 or 5236 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST I appreciate the fast response, but neither of the numbers worked for me. It's possible that I messed something up on my side, but do you have any other codes for me to try? Thanks Scott PLEASE read the FAQ.
  13. If it were a Turbo then the first 3 numbers would be 930. So we know the model is 911 and year is 1977. The next number is the body type (i.e. coupe, Targa, etc.) and model (i.e. 911, or 911S). Unfortunately the body type and model changed yearly so I don't remember what those mean (even though I had a 1976 911S coupe).
  14. Try 5238 or 5236 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  15. 6 - 9 ftlb. But I usually do just tight enough to not leak.
  16. JFP in PA is correct that is a breather hose.
  17. The 3.4 liter X51 was only sold in Europe. I think you might have trouble finding the parts today. The detail is covered in the 996 Carrera service manual. When it was sold I believe it was a Porsche only upgrade (i.e. parts were sent to Porsche for the machining etc.).
  18. There is a link in our Links section that will take you directly to Porsche to download the parts list. Downloadable Parts Lists for all Porsche models
  19. I think that is likely a mistake. I think you want 997.102.117.00
  20. Perhaps a sub-assembly number - because as I said that is not a valid number when I look it up. Who did you order from?
  21. :welcome: Search is your friend here... Spoiler light always on
  22. P0304 Misfire, Cylinder 4, Damaging to Catalytic Converter Best check cylinder 4 for a cracked coil pack, loose coil wire or damaged spark plug.
  23. 996.107.225.53 is the correct oil filter for MY2000 car (3.4 liter) 996.352.939.03 are the correct rear brakes (perhaps you mistyped because 996.352.930.03 is not valid).
  24. If your car is MY2000 then it is still a cable. Since the emergency release works it is likely the cable (not the latch).
