  1. Try 6534 or 6532 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  2. That looks like a Boxster cable diagram - the Boxster does not have the remote jump terminal. We are talking about a 1999 Carrera - correct?
  3. Try 4591 or 4489 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  4. Are you sure you have that cable? According to the parts list it was only used on X51 cars.
  5. Sorry but we can not help with Traffic Pro codes. Please read the FAQ.
  6. I am looking at a MY2006 Boxster schematic and RFM is correct - all headlight control is through the front end control box. There are separate grounds but all power and control comes through the control box. One fuse for the control box -- C3 10 A.
  7. Item 1 is definitely the oil drain for the pan. Item 2 is part of the cooling system 'water tube'. Not an oil drain. Item 3 looks like the thermostat housing. Again, not an oil drain. I think the dealer may be wrong - there appears that there is no longer an oil tank on the new engine (like all the older turbos). How much oil did you drain out? - it only holds 7.9 quarts with the filter.
  8. You can Contribute using any credit - PayPal processes it but you do not need a PayPal account.
  9. Sorry to hear about your problems. For a MY2004 with tiptronic -- (exchange) 955.349.010.JX Front Axle - Final Drive -- US MSRP $1541.09 plus install labor.
  10. I use mobile 0W-40 but when my car was new Porsche recommended (at that time) 15W-40. A little tapping for 30 seconds or so does not hurt anything - it is just that oil drains out of the hydraulic lifters after some time.
  11. No communication from the engine comes over the CAN network. If there is a loose connection it is on the back of cluster. Do a search here for how to remove the cluster and pay attention the description of the locking connectors.
  12. 5W-40 Mobil 1 is also an approved oil so you could try that.
  13. You are likely going to need to put a PST2 or PIWIS tester on the car run diagnosis on the instrument cluster. If you are lucky it is a loose connector - if not a bad cluster.
  14. :welcome: Schematics vary by year. It would be very helpful if you told us the model year and exact model of your car.
  15. Doesn't matter if it is running or not a bad ignition switch will often cause strange things to happen and even more strange things when it is wiggled.
  16. I have never checked the routing but I guess it could be rust, corrosion, or damage. Best to get the car up on a lift and remove underbody panels and see what you can see.
  17. :welcome: Likely bad ignition coil packs. If they have not been updated to the newer style - they should be.
  18. And if you wiggle the ignition switch with the key in it? any affect? Bad ignition switches can cause all kinds of strange electrical problems.
  19. Not really - when there is a problem one has usually broken.
  20. Could be the solenoid that locks the levers in the door sill has failed. See the DIY for dis-assembly and inspection here
  21. Model and year of your car please?
  22. You need to put a PIWIS tester on the car and find the faults.
  23. Correct Sunset Imports sells Porsches in Portland.
  24. Buy this months Excellence Magazine - there is an article there on repairing remote key circuit boards and buttons.
  25. You can't order a pre-programmed alarm controller because it has to be coded to your DME and to each key for the car. If the $800 includes programming time - the alarm control box is US MSRP $398.47 so the rest is labor. You can get the alarm control box for less through Sunset Imports (Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost) but you are still looking at 1 hour programming time.
