  1. Is this the same DIY? http://www.renntech....porsche-996-c2/
  2. Once oil gets into the intake it can take a while to burn out. I would give it another week of driving and then if it is still smoking take it back to the same mechanic.
  3. This is the Cayenne forum and Cayenne offers an "off-road" package that includes steel under body panels. Porsche sports cars do not have such a package except perhaps through Porsche MotorSports.
  4. We do not have service manuals for download here as they are copyrighted materials. Many do have access to them - so I suggest you ask for the specific torques you need (as they are spread through the related sections of the manuals (all 17 volumes).
  5. Yes - PLEASE read the FAQ. Try 2443 or 2441 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  6. Try 2443 or 2441 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  7. Only way you could get that condition with these DME cars is if the DME is beng told the car is warmer/hotter than it really is. You should be able to check the both the intake air temperature (the MAF does this) and the engine temperature with Durametric, PST2, or PIWIS testers.
  8. The radio always has power so the radio itself must be at fault. Try removing and cleaning the faceplate. If that does not fix it you may need to contact Becker.
  9. Richard is correct check A10 and B8 - both 15A I believe.
  10. Try 1311 or 1309 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  11. Battery Thread
  12. Try 8807 or 8805 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  13. I already answered your other post on the same subject (so I will close this now). Top right - Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost *Sunset Porsche).
  14. 948.602.104.05 is the latest number in PET.
  15. LEFT = Drivers Side DOOR Correct?? Those part numbers are for LHD cars - so yes left side door. Also, these numbers are for MY1997 w/o M535
  16. Load test your battery and check the specific gravity of each cell. Also check the charging voltage at the battery with the engine idling - should be in the 13-14 volt range.
  17. It is not likely a Torx - most Boxsters have triple square (XZN) plugs.
  18. This information has been posted many many times before here... It is NOT the O2 sensors or at cats. P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Above Limit P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Above Limit or P1128 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 1 – Below Limit P1130 Oxygen Sensing Adaptation, Idle Range, Bank 2 – Below Limit Possible causes: – Incorrect signal from MAF sensor – Intake air system leaking – Fuel pressure too low – Volume supply of fuel pump too low – Fuel injectors fouled – Exhaust system leaking
  19. The Porsche PIWIS TSI site is the only place I know of that you can get manual information for the 997-2 cars. We have a link in the Links section here.
  20. Check your cross-references - most of these problems are the wrong sensors.
  21. Where did you get your sensors? Were they OEM? I suspect not.
  22. Most likely an upper strut mount.
  23. Try 2301 or 2299 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
