  2. :welcome: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?/tutorials/article/216-adjusting-parking-brake/
  3. Checking the free play of the parking brake lever The parking brake has asbestos-free brake linings. The parking brake with asbestos-free brake linings must never be adjusted in such a way that the lining must "grind down"during operation. The parking brake must be adjusted if the parking brake lever can be pulled up by more than 4 teeth with medium force application without a braking effect being apparent. There are two adjustments - at the wheels and at the handbrake handle itself. To adjust: 1. Remove the rear wheels. 2. Release the parking brake lever and push back the brake pads of the rear axle until the brake disc can be turned freely. 3. Undo the adjustment nuts on the turnbuckle (arrow) until the cables are without pretension. 4. With a screwdriver, adjust the adjustment fixture through a threaded wheel bolt hole until the wheel can no longer be turned. Next, turn back the adjustment fixture through 5 notches again (release approx. 3 notches until the wheel can be turned freely, then release another 2 notches). Repeat the procedure on the other wheel. 5. Pull up the parking brake lever by 2 teeth and turn the adjustment nut of the turnbuckle until both wheels can be turned manually with difficulty. 6. Release the parking brake lever and check whether both wheels can be turned freely.

  5. You have a lot of work left to do. This is Tool Pants pic from a Boxster but a Carrera has virtually the same dash. There are several 13 mm nuts under the dash that bolt it to the chassis.
  6. From our online Glossary "DME = Digital Motor Electronics - Porsche's engine management system, the Bosch "Motronic" system, that controls both fuel injection and ignition functions." Second arrow from the right. -- Not used on US/Canada cars.
  7. Just spray - do not wipe it. Be sure to let air dry before re-installing and running the car.
  8. Some people have reported problems with "generic" electronic cleaners. The CRC MAF cleaner always works - unless the MAF is bad to begin with.
  9. You've got mail... Loren, I know this is one or two years old LOL, but could you send me those instructions too? Hope you get this. Thanks. As a Contributing Member you can see the instructions in the TSB section. Just search for aerokit.
  10. Kind of looks like someone put a different cluster in the car doesn't it? I wonder what the DME says vs. the cluster? Yes, I would add the missing bulbs. But, fuel cap indicator? - which position are you talking about?

  12. :welcome: Please do a search - these faults have been covered many, many, many, (many) times before.
  13. 000.721.950.71 Connecting hose -- US MSRP $40.05
  14. I don't think Durametric can do that. I've done with my PST2 and with my PIWIS tester. Literally takes less than 5 minutes. Where are you located - perhaps another member can help you.
  15. :welcome: Please try our search next time - these fault codes have been covered many times before here. P0102 Mass Air Flow Sensor – Below Limit P0103 Mass Air Flow Sensor – Above Limit Possible causes: P0102 - Open circuit – Short circuit to ground – Mass air flow sensor P0103 – Short circuit to B+ – Mass air flow sensor – Throttle jacking unit
  16. Either you have a leaking hose, cracked tank, or a bad pump motor. You will need to remove the left front wheel, then the wheel well liner. The equipment is up at the top right of the wheelwell.
  17. Try 5182 or 5180 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  18. You are measuring where the bulb goes so there are only two connections. Brown wire is always ground on Porsches.
  19. Check the Diagnostic Tool Registry here. You will need someone close with the Durametric Software, a PST2, or PIWIS tester.
  20. From the back view shown: Left two - Rollover protection (Cab only) Convertible top warning (Cab only) Right one: Traction Control (optional)
  21. Creamy White - 51A is the paint code. T2 is the option code (when ordering a car).
  22. Your diagram is not the type of wheel bolt used. Here is a picture of the 50 mm bolts used on the GT3 and with cars that have the 5 mm factory spacers. Standard wheel bolts are 45 mm (measurement X).
  23. Try 0846 or 0844 Neither number worked. Any more choices? Thanks If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST PLEASE read the FAQ.
  24. Check the sizes and offsets in the appropriate TSBs.
  25. Just click on Donate at the top right of any page and follow the instructions. Many thanks!
