  3. hi Loren. thanks for your reply. have spoken to a porsche specialist and they do no know of a front control unit. can you help. the item number or code for the item i need to change. thank you. You are joking? The front control unit on early 987 and 997 cars had terrible problems with it's programming. I think they all might have been reprogrammed at some time. Perhaps it time to find a new Porsche specialist...
  4. Exact model and year of your car please?

  6. :welcome: Porsche does not list an AUX cable in replacement parts or in the Tequipment catalog. Perhaps one of our Moderators - RFM - knows if this is a Becker product or not - Becker is pretty good at supplying aftermarket parts - but again I do not know if Becker made this.
  7. Yes, I forgot about the switch - definitely a possibility if the connectors in the fender are okay.
  8. Do a search here and you will issues with broken connectors inside the front fender or wires pushing out of the connector.

  10. I've never seen a part numb er for it. If it is the early type center plug only you can have mine (I think I still have it).
  11. Just look for the rubber drains that go from the bottom of the AC unit to the floorboard. Chances are one or more is pulled out or broken. (There will be more than one if have the Auxiliary air conditioning system).

  14. And, don't forget to disconnect the battery first - you don't want an airbag goes off in your face.
  15. MY2000 (under dash) MY2000 (behind right rear seat)
  16. I suspect that your front end control has gone wacky. You can use a PIWIS tester to try and reprogram it, if that does not work you will likely need to replace it.
  17. I asked you before to stop promoting your site here.
  18. The installation is covered in a TSB that you can view here in our TSB section.
