  1. Use the tool in the tool kit to remove the headlight and follow the procedure in the Owners Manual.
  2. The best thing to do then would be to take the one on the other side off and get the part number from the back side.
  3. In the parts list it is titled "read side panel trim". Are you sure it is not item 6?
  4. Jeff you are right - I misread his post the 997 number does end in 00.
  5. Flash - chipped whatever -- your checksum error is due to DME tampering. I would just ignore it (unless you need warranty work).
  6. I move this to the 986 Boxster section.
  7. P0601 DME relay/control module faulty (computer monitoring: reset) – signal implausible Possible fault cause - Undervoltage - DME relay faulty - DME control module faulty (checksum error caused by tampering with data record Is the car "chipped"? If the car is running fine I would clear it and see if it comes back.
  8. I don't think a CDR-24 will in his MY2003 car - only CDR-23.
  9. :welcome: You will need to tell us which item number and the color of your interior to get the correct part number.
  10. The original (CDC-4) CD-changer would not likely have worked with the 3rd party head. CDC-4 is fiber optic only. See what model CD-changer you have to be sure. Then I would double check that they added all your options back into the MOST gateway config. Those amps are know to go bad but both amp and CD-changer - that would be unusual.
  11. Unless you know someone with a PST2 or PIWIS tester AND know your cars unique IPAS codes - then yes, you will need to go to a dealer.
  12. :welcome:
  13. :welcome: Do you know if the amp is Harman (option M490) or BOSE (option M680)?
  14. Try 0989 or 0987 If you have not already read this FAQ - please do so... Lost Radio Code - FAQ, PLEASE READ THIS FIRST
  15. Then it is time to put a diagnostic tool on the car. Either Durametric software, a Porsche PST 2 or Porsche PIWIS tester will be need to read any diagnostic tests and fault codes on the alarm system.
  16. Did anyone check the bellows?
  17. Can you lock the car with the key fob?
  18. :welcome: Hmm... do you get two beeps when you try to lock the door using the key fob? If so, you have an alarm fault.
  19. You know it's funny - item 2 can be ordered with stipulated lock or without - and the price is the same (MSRP $306.83). My guess is that you get a locksmith to key the lock in that case... or find one in a wrecking yard and see if you can swap it out.
  20. Check C10 and C8 for blown fuses - both should be 40 A. Test the relays (all 4 of them) and the two ballast resistors. Highly unlikely (IMHO) that the DME is the problem - besides you really don't want to spend $1700 for a DME - plus programming time. I REALLY don't think it is your DME.
  21. What is the offset of your new 19" wheels? Correct offsets for Porsche wheels are: front - 57 mm (8" wide wheel) - 55 mm (8.5" wide wheel) rear - 67 mm If you are not at these offsets it would be wise to add spacers to get there (IMHO of course).
  22. They just snap out (and back in).
  23. Fault code 60 -- Central locking limit position 'Locked' not reached Fault code 54 -- Radio receiver defective Check the fuse first - C3 (15 A) I would fix the fault 60 first. Unless the wiring in the door is damaged you may have a bad microswitch in the door lock. Aftermarket radio?
