  1. Check your fuel pump output (assuming you are not out of gas).
  2. Snap-On, Sears, SK Tools, and many others.
  3. The most obvious are: 1. Are all the spark plugs tightened down? (I've forgotten one myself before). 2. Are the electrical connector on the coil packs firmly snapped in place? 3. Push the coil pack on each spark plug firmly until you feel the contact - then tighten the screws down (as they just keep them in place). If all of the those are okay - then it will be time to get the ohm meter out.
  4. That is normal. The butterfly does not open all the way (and even if it did you would not get any more power). PST2 screen and Durametric screen
  5. The valve body can be changed.
  6. The DIY is here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/tutorials/article/77-in-dash-spoiler-tail-switch-mod/
  7. They are in the pan submersed in ATF.
  8. See the link above for someone else that had the same problem.
  9. Exact model and year of your car please? http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/14923-horn-only-works-when-car-off/?p=80697
  10. Both tail lights are lit - as well as the one fog light. I think two rear fog lights look like your brake lights are stuck on. If you do a search you will find a few folks have done a mod for both lights (of course you will have to put a bulb in the currently empty socket).
  11. Yes. It has been discussed here many times before.
  12. Yes, disconnect the battery and then carefully check the connections. Remember the airbag is always live.
  13. Moved to Boxster forum... Fault codes 12, 13, 28, 29, 40 -- Ignition circuit, driver's side airbag Possible cause of fault - Short circuit to B+/grouncl or open circuit in the wiring between the driver's side airbag unit and the airbag triggering unit - Driver's side airbag faulty Has the door panel been off for anything recently?
  14. Did you read the codes with Durametric, Porsche PST2, or Porsche PIWIS tester? If so, what were the fault code(s)? If both lights were on then I would suspect the brake light switch - have someone observer your brake lights.
  15. P0734 Gear monitoring, 4th gear - signal implausible Solenoid valve does not operate despite correct electrical triggering Possible causes: - Solenoid valves (Sticking valves, Mechanical damage to pressure regulator 4, Open circuit, short circuit to ground, short circuit to B+) - Valve chamber - Transmission Step 1 - make sure the transmission ATF has been properly topped up (full). Clear the codes and try again. If the transmission fluid is very old (or black) change it and clear the codes - try again.
  16. I doubt it is a CAN issue as on the older cars (MY1999 in this case) the only CAN communication was between the DME and the Tiptronic transmission. Later cars got much more communications over the network.
  17. Please read the Lost Radio Code FAQ - we can only help with certain Becker radios. Sorry.
  18. There is already a discussion of DOF here: http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/44977-tuners-direct-oil-feed/ So I will close this thread.
  19. If your "radio" serial number is W5020715 Try 2378
  20. :welcome: What were the fault code(s)? Without them he is just guessing. I assume he is talking hydraulic control unit (with all the valves)? If so, then there are two type of units and you need to replace it with a like unit (part number).
  21. Try a heat gun on low to warm it up and then peel it off. If there is residue glue then a little googone followed by a paint cleaner.
  22. Maybe that is the one I sent back - because it caused CELs continuiously. Some of the early ones did not work very well - not sure if it was design or production flaws. If you have CELs then remove it and put the stock intake back on.
