  1. Perhaps I should have said "warm" rather than heat. Some people can take the word "heat" pretty far... ;)
  2. Please read the Lost Radio code FAQ "CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car?s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected."
  3. You have to remember that all diagnostic scanners, regardless of origin or price, function more like a compass than a GPS unit; they can point you in the right direction, but you still have to apply basic diagnostic logic and experience to arrive at the correct answer to a problem. Well said!
  4. If you can find a shop with a Porsche PST2 or PIWIS tester those can read the (mileage) information stored in the cluster and/or DME.
  5. Hmm... usually Wayne sends a copy or two for us to review...
  6. If it is the valve body I would expect to see fault code(s) with Durametric, a Porsche PST2, or Porsche PIWIS tester. Very dirty fluid and/or a clogged filter can cause similar problems.
  7. Might be time to just buy a new Design key. About $100 - then just transfer your key blade and immobilizer pill to the new key head.
  8. Try a reset by reversing the battery for a few seconds. Do you have another remote? If so, does it act the same way?
  9. Any beeps when locking? One beep means one (or more) alarm zone is open -- two beeps means there is a fault in the alarm system,
  10. Is this a US/Canada car? or RoW? PM me your VIN please.
  11. It sounds like your is the mechanical failure instead of electrical failure. In this case you will likely need the whole steering lock.
  12. The is a Porsche 6 page TSB on the install - that your dealer should have followed.
  13. You will need a new regulator - which is the cable assembly.
  14. 997.552.475.03.A03 Sitch housing lower(black) -- US MSRP $75.50 You will need to PM me your VIN to check the harness needs.
  15. The harness number is correct. What color and with/without leather on the lower steering cowl?
  16. You would need the Durametric Pro version. Or... find someone near you that has one (or a PST2 or PIWIS tester). You did not put a location in your profile so you would need to tell us where you are...
