    Did you use the procedure in the Lost Radio Code FAQ? If not, then your radio may have been repaired and the serial number changed (electronically. If you did use the procedure and the code I gave you does not work then it is likely that the radio was repaired by someone other than Becker - in that case I can not help you.

    You should be able to test the ELV with a PIWIS tester. Way easier than removing the steering column. I think that only one screw holds the ELV in place - it's just a quest of being able to get to it.

    Best to scan for fault codes using a Porsche compliant scanner.

    Or... the bracket that hold the solenoid is cracked. That happened on 996TT a few times.
