  1. From the Lost Radio Code FAQ... CDR-23 (or later): These radios do not have a security code - that is, not that the user enters. These radios are security tested on the MOST (fiber optic bus) system to see if they are the "programmed" radio. The radios are programmed and recognized by the car?s DME and can only be replaced by a shop with a PST2 or PIWIS. These radios will not request a code when battery power is disconnected.
  2. Those are the standard shifter tools. If you have a short shifter (either OEM or B&M) you will need the special one for the short shifter as it has a larger shaft.
  3. That looks like a common ground or power bar - if you check with an ohm meter I think you will them all connected to each other. (click to enlarge)
  4. :welcome: There is a short wire harness at the right side of the rear fender that goes to the deck lid. To change back you will need to replace that harness with a stock one - either from a salvage car or a new one. Not even a 5 minute job and certainly the easiest part of changing the rear lid/spoiler. If you need the part number then I will need to know the exact model and year of your car (including coupe or Cab).
  5. Glad you got it sorted.
  6. Search is your friend here... http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/45500-moisture-in-oil-filler-tube/ http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/40921-slight-formation-of-mayonnaise-in-oil-filler-cap/ http://www.renntech.org/forums/topic/24344-condensation-in-oil-fix/
  7. Yes, it appears that the parts from the 996 series are a direct upgrade to 997-1 series. (i.e. if a part for a 996 series broke you would get 997 parts).
  8. "DVD Navigation" is likely the one you are looking for.
  9. You can purchase a (downloadable) diagrams for $1.80 each at Porsche PIWIS TSI. You will need to open an account there to make purchases.
  10. My understanding is that the engine turns with the starter - but does not run.
  11. 955-731-153-01-5E6 Left sun visor (alcantara) -- US MSRP $261.29 Any year car with alcantara head liner should work.
  12. These ignition switches just plain wear out - especially on a 15 year old car. Take JFP's advice and change it out.
  13. :welcome: If no other electronics have been added to the car then you are likely looking for bad grounds. Follow the ground cable from the battery to the starter and chassis and check those ground connections first.
  14. I've see the same symptoms before. -- possibly an intermittent crankshaft position sensor. Best run a scanner on the car and see if there is a CPS fault when it happens.
  15. Please read and follow the instructions in the Lost Radio Code FAQ This thread is now closed.
  16. Item 20 is correct for your car left side. Item 25 is -- 955.559.459.02.XX2 Molding cover wing - left (black-mat) -- US MSRP $92.42
  17. I am missing part #20 in the diagram - any ideas on how much it would cost for a replacement unpainted? Can it be purchased independently from the entire kit? Item 20 -- 955.559.731.01.G2X wheel cover wing (primed but un-painted) -- US MSRP $69.06 Thanks again for the quick reply. Just to confirm - is that the missing piece in this photo? It looks like I may be missing #25 as well... Your photo looks like a rear wheel well and part you asked for is for a front wheel well? Exact model and year of your car please...
  18. I am missing part #20 in the diagram - any ideas on how much it would cost for a replacement unpainted? Can it be purchased independently from the entire kit? Item 20 -- 955.559.731.01.G2X wheel cover wing (primed but un-painted) -- US MSRP $69.06
  19. Most of the blank or incorrect order type DME codes were 2004 and before so just in case the correct order type for your car is 9PAAE1.
